Villa Lorian is a very comfortable Italian villa located amidst mature cypresses, rolling hills and the vineyards of Montalcino (just 11 km away) from which Brunello di Montalcino wine, renowned as one of the best ones in the world, is produced. This elegant villa built in the 1700s as one of the manors of the neighbouring Argiano Castle, the building has a distinctive U-shaped structure and develops around a central patio. The sense of interior space is accentuated by the high vaulted ceilings. Villa Lorian was recently restored in total respect of the original building . The result is a beautiful imposing structure with spacious rooms comfortably furnished with elegant original pieces of antiques. The spacious bedrooms all have air-conditioning at extra cost and are equipped with private en-suite bathrooms. The views from the villa and from the swimming pool extend over the Argiano castle and the verdant Montalcino valley, situated in a gorgeaus setting enclosed by vinyards, cypresses and olive trees.
The owner, Gioietta Gaetani d'Aragona, continues to take great care of her family heritage producing a limited edition Sangiovese red wine as well as an outstanding olive oil available to guests to enjoy during their stay at Villa Lorian.
The lovely well-kept garden with scented roses and lavender creates the perfect setting area for relaxing enjoying beautiful views. The several outdoor areas, both in the garden and in the internal patio, are furnished for sitting and dining outside. Guests can enjoy seasonal products from the vegetable garden. The resident maid lives in a separate apartment at the rear of the farmhouse, and will be happy to cook for guests (additional charge) . On the estate there are 2 resident cats . It is possible to accept dogs only if they are used to stay with other animals please enquire before.

Summary: Big villa in wonderful setting. Large great swimming pool. Friendly 'house keeper'. Good air conditioning in bedrooms, plenty of spaces to rest and relax. Close by to some beautiful villages and restaurants. Only negative comments is that the electrics were very temperamental in storms due to power supply and unfortunately there was no wine or olive oil to try and no vegetable garden given the drought.

Summary: What an amazing week! We absolutely loved the villa, the food, and the wine. All was an experience of a lifetime. We enjoyed Montalcino, a Vespa tour through the Chianti region, visiting the Vatican and Sistine Chapel, the authentic Tuscan cooking class, touring and tasting at the Argiano winery, oh…. We also enjoyed the gelato! What an amazing venue to propose at! We plan on returning someday. Also we would have been lost without Mary!

Summary: We had an unforgetable time with family and friends. Thanks to this beautiful home, we have been able to make memories for a lifetime. Mary was wonderful and having coffee ready for us every morning was a treat. One thing we wish we had is air-conditioning, which we know they will add next summer, to sleep better at night. Summary: It was a perfect stay for us in Villa Lorian! the house is, as it is shown in the homepage- great in every aspect! house and garden are very well maintained. we have been there 8 adults and 2 babys. it is place enough for all without disturbing each other. the housekeeping lady, Mery, is perfectly taking care of everything, always friendly and reading wishes from the eyes of the guests.
