Positive: This is a specious luxury villa.The views of the lake from the bedroom are beautiful. The mainteinance of the house needs improvement.The bathroom needs more ventilation. There is an unpleasant odour in the house.The aircondinion does not function well, the house gets very warm during the day and very cold at night, windows are recomended to stay closed due to the insects.

Positive: Close to town. Nice layout. Clean. From the front of the house, great star gazing (unfortunately, a street light visible from the back of the house drowned out lots of the stars from there).
Negative: It was hot. Cool outside, but couldn’t keep the doors open at night due to bugs, but air conditioner was struggling to keep it cool. There was also a lot with miscellaneous things down the hill visible from the back that was not expected.

Negative: The daytime heat was intense, and the bedroom lacked air conditioning, making it quite uncomfortable. Opening the doors for ventilation invited flies and bees inside, which was inconvenient. Additionally, there was an unpleasant sewage-like odor near the entrance, and the dishwasher had not been emptied upon arrival.
Summary: Overall, the experience did not feel worth the price.

Positive: It was difficult to locate available accommodation at Lake Tekapo end January. The purpose of visiting this area is to enjoy the lake but accommodation was much further from the actual lake than anticipated.
Negative: The apartment is well presented but it is not close to the lake and view is only partial. Given heat and mosquito issues one window should have anti-mosquito netting.
Summary: Lke Tekapo is not overrated but there are many blue lakes in NZ! This was way too expensive!

Positive: Nice view and location, 2 mins drive from the lake, restaurant, gas station and supermarket. Lake-view living room and bedroom, galaxy-view bathroom💯💯💯 We cook during our stay, there is sufficient supply of kitchenware and culinary. The house keeper and host are very friendly and nice. They helped us to light the wood burning stove - funniest experience with the stove, we never tried that in our country. 💯💯
Negative: Overall satisfactory, just one minor thing to highlight is that when we check in the first night it was a bit cold, we turned on the heater for entire night and getting warmer on 2nd and 3rd day. Suggestion to host: turn on the heater prior to check in time during winter 😊
