Positive: Perfect location in a quite and peaceful area, lake view from the balcony is superb. Villa has a nice interior, beautiful garden and all you need for a comfortable stay. Hosts are extremely nice and helpful, every our question or request were solved really quick. Overall this stay exceeded our expectations and on the next visit we would stay here again.

Positive: I have arrived at Villa Lake Mountain on 07/04/2025 and instantly knew i had discovered something truly special. It is based between borala lake and the busier bigger town of Weligama which gives you opportunity to enjoy local, peaceful and relaxinf holiday meanwhile staying close to bigger city, restaurants and local towns. The hospitality was beyond exceptional. The staff greeted us warmly and remained attentive throughout our stay, going above and beyond to ensure our comfort. Every request was met with a smile, and their local insights added so much happiness to our experience. The villa itself is breathtaking—immaculately clean, tastefully decorated, and designed to harmonize beautifully with its natural surroundings. Highly recommend especially if looking for a relaxing holiday out of a grid and wildlife experience.

Positive: Villa lake mountain is based in a fantastic location. Excellent choice for people that look for booming wildlife and place to relax in nature while being close to a bigger city and public transport connections. Highly recommended. Cannot express how friendly and helpful hosts are, always happy to help and advise. First day we were treated with regional king coconut which was delightful and left with a big chunk of Ceylon Cinnamon gifted by the hosts which was very welcoming. Airport transfer and rent a scooter avaiable at a very low price. Very clean and spacious - all you need on vacation included - beautiful big size garden to relax in. If you love peace, quiet and wildlife this place is for you. Again highly recommend.😊

Positive: Absolutely loved this villa overlooking the lake. It is the best connection with nature. The villa is cozy, bright, spacious, clean. There is a beautiful terrace for relaxation, in the room a balcony with the best view. We stayed in the villa for 2 months and it is a place you want to come back to. Excellent kitchen with all the necessary utensils. All bedrooms are equipped with air conditioners that work properly. The villa is perfectly sealed and we did not meet any unexpected "guests". The villa was cleaned once a week, the cleaning was of high quality, all rooms were shiny. Excellent communication with the owners of the villa. They are wonderful, good-natured people, always ready to help. There wasn't a single problem that they didn't solve promptly and efficiently. They helped us with the move and stored our belongings when we left for a while, helped with bikes and treated us to a lovely home cooked Sri Lankan dinner. This is a lovely place with wonderful owners who will make your vacation comfortable and happy. We would love to come back again and stay in this magical villa. Thank you for all.

Positive: My stay at Villa Lake Mountain was simply wonderful. The location was very convenient being 10 minutes from Weligama and 15 minutes from Midigama. Very quite and peaceful setting in front of lake. The staff were incredibly friendly and made me feel at home from the moment I arrived. The villa's private entrance and serene garden were perfect for relaxation, the terrace with hammock and breathtaking views of the and lake. While I stayed only a few days, I think the villa well-equipped for longer stays, with a fully equipped kitchen, washing machine, etc. This is a fantastic choice for anyone seeking a peaceful retreat with friendly hospitality and beautiful surroundings in Weligama. Highly recommended!

Positive: Absolutely amazing stay on a beautiful lake area. The hosts were incredibly nice, provided us coconuts on arrival, fruits during our stay and made sure we can reach them anytime and answered all our questions. We could use the washing machines, the rooms were very big (3BR and 3 Bathrooms). We used the kitchen, the bbq to grill fish and cuddled a lot with the puppy Lanka who the previous owners left (dogs will hang around there but obviously you don't let them in). The hammock was a very nice bonus too. All in all we would all totally agree that we got an amazing value for what we paid and had the best days over there. I would recommend to get motorbikes to get around because PickMe will not always come there or its a high price.
Negative: Aircon would be great (and mosquito nets on the windows), since the rooms can heat up on hot days and not fully cool down in the night unless you leave all doors open. Also on the 4 days there was 2x future guests visiting, it would be good to keep it private for the time we pay and stay. Of course we got asked if its ok but still it interrupted our privacy. Other than that nothing to complain :)

Positive: Very beautiful modern villa located in front of Borala lake just 7 min drive from Weligama center and 10 min drive from Midigama by scooter. High ceilings, high quality furniture, well equipped kitchen, spacious rooms and very friendly and helpful host. Comfortable beds with mosquito nets and fast wifi. You can have dinners in the garden and there is a bbq to grill some fish. We felt like being at home! Highly recommended!
Negative: Could be a bit noisy because of the road in front of the house. But during the nights is silent and calm. The villa has two floors so be aware you can be renting only one floor and you will have neighbours living in the ground floor.

Positive: Excellent and comfortable place. Each floor has its garden and terraces. A fantastic view of the lake is available from the bedroom. You can lay on the bed and watch a fabulous lake view during sunset. We rent the second floor. It had two bedrooms, three bathrooms, a spacious kitchen-living room, and three terraces. It was a comfortable temperature inside because the wind was constantly blowing from the lake. There are a lot of coconut trees on the territory around the house. This place has a perfect internet connection, it was not a fiber connection, but the speed was excellent: Download 40MB, Upload 7MB. Wifi system has a battery so that a power cut won't be a problem. This house has its water point, so you don't have to buy water at the shop (spotless and tasty water). Weligama city is very close (6 mins from the villa). Also, I should say a few words about the owner. He is a lovely and kind man, always ready to help. It was straightforward to communicate with him.
