Positive: Beautiful, secluded grounds, fairly quiet and nothing like being on a resort which felt really special. The apartment where we stayed was really well equipped (would have loved a high chair though) and the staff are really friendly. The creative workshops are a wonderful addition and help break up pool time, there is also the option of yoga / pasta workshops. Its not overdeveloped and you sense they could make more money if they tried to squeeze more guests in, added a spa etc- the fact it is as understated as it is makes it feel quite a discrete and luxurious place to be - it is not "glam" which is perhaps what some of the other reviewers expected, but we liked that. The breakfasts were wonderful and a real highlight, I really looked forward to them - a mix of healthy and indulgent options.
Negative: The food at the restaurant is a good standard but expensive. 16 euro for an appetiser of zucchini crostini on our last night seemed far too much, for example. The service is also slow and very hit and miss, which others have noted. The team are really lovely, but waiting 40 mins for your drinks to be served or having to keep asking for things e.g. olive oil, menus etc is quite annoying and not befitting the price point. It was similar with reception who seemed very willing but didn't follow up as they said they would and forgot to make one of our restaurant bookings. We stayed there for a week and ate at the restaurant 5 times, we were very bored of the menu by the end so for that reason if we returned it would be for max five days. We also stayed in Renacchi and the walk to the main villa / restaurant was partly on the road which was not ideal with small children. It would be great to see them create a footpath all the way.

Positive: The setting and location was outstanding with an excellent breakfast. The 3 bedroom apartment was huge and the outdoor area was excellent.
Negative: The activities were expensive, the pasta making for a family of 4 was €230, didn’t last that long and the meal was just pasta with tomato sauce.
Summary: Fantastic stay in a stunning setting, exactly what we were looking for in Tuscany

Positive: Location and the premises are really good, well maintained and clean. Not only the room but the whole premises, I enjoyed spending time at the hotel, bar, restaurant, the gardens and the sunrise. Staff was wonderful, super helpful, very responsive, kind and fast.

Positive: Very charming and clean. The view was awesome. The pool was still good in october. The food excellent and the staff very friendly.
Negative: A little bit noisy until middle of the night, the kitchen was right under the room and we could head the people talking and laughing until very late in the night.
