Positive: The rooftop pool was the highlight! The room was comfortable, air-conditioning, fans and a fully equipped kitchenette. The staff were very attentive and helpful, sharing recommendations for restaurants and services in the area.
Negative: Reminder to take care of your things, we accidentally left sunglasses by the pool and they weren’t handed in. And watch out for scorpions! I was stung while in the bathroom of our room

Positive: The views of the hotel, the vibes of the room! The pool was great :)
Negative: Nothing special because everything was really good! The only thing is the location. It's ok and perfectly fine to get there but it's on an unpaved road and not so close to the beach and restaurant area. But you get there in 2 minutes by car.

Negative: -The bed and bedding are not good. Polyester bed sheets are not adequate -Strong bedside lamps -Unfortunately the terrace rooftop closes at 7pm, which is a real shame

Negative: Villa Macarena is very nice, with a lovely swimming pool overseeing the seafront. The staff is lovely but the overall service is very basic - lots of rules to follow (incl. very late check in at 4pm and early check out at 11am compared to usual hotels and room cleaning only every 3 days…). The swimming pool has a café/restaurant with very nice food and drinks, but be aware that it’s cash only (which was only communicated to us upon arrival). Because of lots of power shortages and lack of banks in Punta, it’s very hard to find ATMs and therefore would have appreciated the cash only heads up.

Positive: The room decor and set up was beautiful and location was great… just a small walk from restaurants and bar but far enough away that it was quiet. The hosts were very helpful and attentive.
Negative: I wish the communal pool and bar hours were a little better. There was no one at the bar when we tried to go for happy hour and the area closed very early and opened late. But still beautiful and we really enjoyed the stay!

Positive: Brilliant rooftop pool and bar with drinks and some great snacky food. The rooms are lovely, beds are comfortable and great shower. Host Eli is brilliant, as is the chef upstairs.
Negative: It’s a 10 min walk from the beach and in that heat, it can feel like a lot but honestly still a great location! We had a moto to make these trips easier :) plus also got to travel to diff beaches etc.
