Positive: Very quiet location up above Aosta town. It is a small and narrow road to get there, which makes it interesting if you meet someone coming the other way! The house is amazing. It's huge with so much space and high quality fixtures and fittings. There was nothing we wanted for and it was a lovely stay. Angelo is extremely attentive and helpful and made our stay a real pleasure with recommendations and advice. We stayed for a snowboarding trip and it's about 8 minutes drive from the house to the big cable car station in the town. The views of the mountains and town from the house and patio are fabulous. It's an amazing place to stay.
Negative: Very little. Angelo can't do anything about the road up to the Villa, it's part of what makes it such a nice location. The driveway is steep and would be scary for an inexperienced driver. We had a Volvo XC60 SUV and it took me three days to get the positioning right to allow a reverse turn in one to get up the hill! Otherwise it takes a bit of backwards and forwards, but it's not that difficult.
Summary: High quality rental in a great location with a friendly owner. Highly recommended.

Good location for getting to a wide variety of walks in the Aosta area and within walking distance of the town of Aosta. Ideal for family or friends groups, with 3 good bedrooms and 2 excellent bathrooms. The owner is really friendly and welcoming and always on hand to assist if needed. We really enjoyed our stay

Positive: The house is amazing. Angelo and Mara designed it with a lot of thought on every detail. The view from the terrace is amazing, the lawn was great for the kids and so was picking vegetables from the garden. The kitchen is well equipped, so is the laundry room. the shower is great, the jacuzzi too, the towels are so cozy! The house is on a high neighbourhood, not in the middle, but 5 minutes ride from the town center (don't miss!), less than 10 minutes to various groceries, 20 minutes from Valpoline (in the photos), 40 from Cogne. The hosts, Mara and Angelo, are super nice, you can ask them for recommendations (like hikes or even the best chocolate store) It was the best stay of our trip. We will come for a longer stay next time!
Negative: The parking is steep, but you get used to it...

Positive: Lovely spacious apartment with a beautiful view of the Aosta and the mountains. This large apartment exceeded our expectations. Angelo was very helpful in recommending restaurants and giving some additional touring ideas in the area. The location is truly only a 5 minute drive to the bottom of the hill to the city center parking lot.
Negative: At first, the fact there was no nearby public transportation seemed an issue, but in reality it was fine. It was only a few minutes to the downtown shopping, restaurant area.It is necessary to access this property by car.

Positive: I stayed here with friends for my 40th recently, and can't recommend this place highly enough! Angelo was exceptionally friendly and helpful, recommending local restaurants and booking tables for us. My friend was unfortunately ill during the trip (not due to the villa) and had to go to hospital on the last day, and Angelo helped him to book a local apartment so he could spend an extra day recovering after we had all checked out. He really went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, and even brought me a cake for my birthday! The villa is beautiful, in an excellent location looking out over the valley. The beds are comfy and the cooling fans are nice and strong, which was very much needed in 40deg heat.
Negative: The only thing I can think of is that the driveway is very steep. We were in a large van, so this took some getting used to, but Angelo helped us on the first time and we quickly got used to it. So if you have a large vehicle or are not that confident at reversing on difficult terrain, bear that in mind. This comes with the territory when the villa is located in such a beautiful (steep) part of the valley though, so worth the effort in my opinion.
Summary: Absolutely beautiful apartment in a stunning location, with a very helpful and friendly owner.

Positive: We really enjoyed our time at Villa Mara in Aosta. The house is very spacious, extremely clean and very well equipped. Angelo even bought a new barbecue before we arrived. The garden is big and the views from jt are exceptional. It is approximately 5min by car and 25min by foot to reach the center of Aosta. Angelo provided us with lots of tips to visit places of restaurants. He was always readily available and very friendly. Highly recommended.

Far exceeded our expectations and the photos do not show how lovely the house is with it's quality furnishings, big kitchen and lounge, large bathrooms and big bedrooms.
