Summary: Nice little motel in a safe and quiet area. Comfortable bed, friendly staff. The room was spacious. We liked the fact that there is a café on the property with a reasonably priced breakfast and good coffee

Summary: Love this place! Great location. Really friendly staff. Stayed in a room with a kitchen. The toaster didn't work. Update the small appliances for 5*.

Summary: Booked this hotel based on an 8.4 rating but this is no where close to that rating . It was clean and comfortable but very much in need of an update . Not a terrible stay but will book something better if in Nelson again . Travelled with my wife and this isn’t a couples hotel any longer .

Summary: I wanted to like this place, but overall it fell short. The room felt pretty worn down, with scratched-up walls and exposed plumbing in the bathroom that made it feel unfinished and not very well maintained. The biggest issue for me was the in-wall AC unit. It’s an older style, and unfortunately there was a bird’s nest in the exterior housing. Throughout the night, I kept hearing scratching and metal noises that made it really hard to sleep. I told the girl at the front desk. She apologized but didn't offer anything to make up for my lack of sleep. I should have slept in my car. The one bright spot was the staff—they were genuinely friendly and welcoming, which I appreciated. But between the condition of the room and the noise, I wouldn’t choose to stay here again.

Summary: The Villa Motel is a lovely place to stay. It’s very clean, the staff are incredibly welcoming and friendly, and the rooms have everything you need for a comfortable stay. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for an affordable and comfortable stay.
