Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: Room was big enough and clean, with everything you need. Air conditioning working good even though it was not so hot, so didn't use it much. Matress and pillows are quite hard, but I kinda liked it that way and had a good rest there. Furniture is a bt old, but as I only stayed there 2 nights and spent most of the time during the day outside it's not really a thing that would bother me. WI-FI was working good. Pool was not in use at the time I was there, but was still nice to chill with some beers around the pool in the evening. Staff (I believe it's Lika and her family) was very friendly and helpful. As she went to Dakar on the same day I did she invited me to go with her driver to Mbour and from there we shared a sept-place to Dakar so it saved me a lot of time and money if I would have to do the trip alone. None of them speaks much English, but we managed to understand ourselves just fine with their little bit of English and my little bit of French. They organise various tours (I did half day Saloum Delta with Mar Lodj). Food was amazing and portions are huge; I don't know if there was a menu, Lika just asked what I want and she made it. Breakfast was also very good, even got some extra eggs. Location is super quiet, couple of 100m from the main road. There's no lights on the way in the night but I didn't feel unsafe.

Positive: We liked the room being quiet and the proximity with activities. Also the possibility to have activities and excursions available and ready to be booked was nice, even though we didn't use any of them.

Negative: The room was dirty, full of mosquitos splattered on every surface of the room, every wall and even A PILLOW were dirty of mosquitos. The room was full of them (January) and the net to cover the bed was not of the best ones (had some holes). The bathroom was truly small, no box for the shower, no additional towel for the toilet, generally dirty. Even the little rug in from of the toilet "door" was so dirty. The toilet didn't have a real door but just a door canopy. We arrived at night and we had to wait like 15 mins for them to give us a room, the staff was generally not nice, they seemed almost annoyed at us. There were many stray dogs inside the structure, dirty and malnourished and the staff was hitting them with a stick. The phone number provided didn't conduct to anyone (it was stated to text the number in cas of need, we needed assistance and texted and I never received a response). The pool was dirty. Every sun chair was dirty and/or broken.
