Summary: The Villa was as it appeared on the VRBO web site. There is quite a number of steps that you must climb to reach the Villa from the street so I would not recommend this location for anyone with any sort of disability. Once you climb the stairs and enter the property, you will be greeted with a fabulous view of the mountains and sea. There is a lemon grove attached to the property as well from which we enjoyed some fresh Amalfi lemons. The pool area, roof top deck, and the patio area under the bamboo awning were as they appeared on VRBO. All very comfortable with commanding sea views. At the bottom of the steps which lead to the villa you will find the SITA bus stop which will take you to Amalfi town center. There you can buy bus tickets to get to other Amalfi coast towns. Please remember that the bus does not usually run on schedule and can also be full and just pass right by. There are 2 restaurants located a short 2 minute walk from the villa which are a very good option if your bus doesn’t come or even to reserve a table for dining. At the restaurant PESCE D’Oro, there is a man named Pasquale. If you are ever in need of a ride anywhere he will take you. He is a very trustworthy person and is like having a grandfather in Amalfi to take care of you! This villa is not walking distance from Amalfi town but it is quiet at night and very private. I would not hesitate to rent it again.

Summary: This property is quite lovely. The view is exceptionally beautiful. The only problems with this property are (1) it’s a 2+ mile (3.2+) walk to the town of Amalfi (you have to walk on the very narrow mountainous road), (2) there is no parking space provided for this property - (if you get lucky, there is a wonderful restaurant near the property where you may be able to park for 20 Euros a day - highly recommend having dinner at the restaurant; it is excellent), and (3) you have to walk up approximately 55 steps with your luggage to get to the residence, so pack lightly or bring a strong young person to handle the heavy lifting. On the parking issue, it almost is impossible to find a parking place on the streets in Amalfi. All said and done, this property is very nice if you can handle the negatives discussed above. The owner of the property is a very nice and helpful woman.

Summary: This location is absolutely wonderful. So private and you can’t beat the view. Antonella was a great host right from the beginning- promptly responding to all my e-mail questions (and there were lots of them.). The house is a 15 minute bus ride to the city and Antonella got us tickets for our first trip. You do have to walk up some stairs to get there- but if you go with food- you won’t have to leave.
