Villa restaurée en 2012, située à 1h de Paris et de Disneyland, 1/2 h de Provins (route du Champagne). 5 Chambres, 3 Salles de bain, Grand salon Cheminée, Cuisine toute équipée donnant sur une large terrasse avec accès à la piscine chauffée (12x4m)
La Paimbaudière est situé à l’Est de Paris entre Esternay et Villenauxe, aux confins des départements 77, 51 et 10, aux portes de Champagne. A 1/2 heure de la ville médiévale de Provins. Elle est dans un petit hameau au calme mais n’est pas isolée ; le voisinage est composé de deux autres villas.
Les commerces et supermarchés se situent soit à Esternay (7 km), soit Villenauxe la Grande (10 km).
Paris et Disneyland sont à 1 heure de la Paimbaudière.
Les routes du Champagne à ¼ d’heure.
Toute la maison est ouverte aux voyageurs sans restriction.

Summary: the house was perfect very big en the pool was super there was a ofyr that was amazing but the house was very dirty

Summary: We stayed with our 4 children in this house for 11 nights in August 2019. Positives: The swimming pool is well maintained, there are roman steps leading into the pool which the youngest children could play on and the water was beautifully warm. The house is spacious. There is a double bedroom with an open staircase leaving to 4 single beds in the eaves. There are a further 2 double beds and 2 single beds. The garden is large and private with fruit trees in it. The television is huge (kids loved it) and WiFi works well in the kitchen/living area. The area is in a beautiful area (not a tourist area), there is small supermarket a 5 minute drive away and larger supermarkets 15/20 minute drive away. We visited the lovely towns of Sezanne, Provins and Nogent sur Seine as well as local Brocantes/flea sales. The family living directly opposite were available to help with any issues. Negatives: The decking around the pool is in poor condition. The children got numerous splinters (bring tweezers) and we had to constantly remind them to wear sandals. We had a problem with ants in the toilet and bedrooms on arrival, we bought ant spray in a large supermarket which solved that problem after a couple of days. There were a lot of flies ('mouches') inside and outside possibly as there are farms and cows on both sides and the weather was hot. As soon as we got out of the pool to sit on the loungers there would be 20-30 flies buzzing around trying to land on everyone, so we could not make use of the outside seating at all. We were warned at check-in to keep the house doors closed because there are lots of flies but we underestimated the issue . Even opening the door to go in and out to the pool meant we had literally hundreds of flies in the house each day. We had to buy 4 tins of fly spray and sticky fly trap paper and as a result had to vacuum dead flies many times each day (not what you want on holiday). The owner cannot prevent the flies but if fly spray and electric fly killer equipment/lights etc were available it would have made it more comfortable/bearable. The flies were a constant issue. Similarly, because we had to keep the doors closed, the house was very hot inside. An air conditioning unit or fans would have helped. In summary, the house is in a beautiful area, well equipped with a lovely warm pool but we could not make full use of the outdoor area and had to clean/vacuum a lot because of flies.

Summary: The house has great potential. Its well equipped and has a beautiful pool. However, it needs maintenance and new equipment. The sofas in the living room are so dirty that it is disgusting, the swimming pool lights do not work, everything under and besides the beds is filthy. The owner charged us extra for breaking a light in the hallway but the light was broken when we arrived. The patio is great but remember to bring slippers as otherwise, you will get splinters. The check-out process was awful; I asked Jean-Christophe when we could check-out and he said 4:00 PM. However, the cleaner arrived at 09:00 AM and started knocking on the door. The cleaner came again at 09:30 and 10:00. Later on, the cleaner and her helper stood over us while we finished packing (hours before planned). Definitely recommend! (But also recommend that Jean-Cristophe and his people maintain the property and sync with their communitication).

Summary: We have stayed here on the weekend of 6-8/4/2018. This was a group of 7 people of the same family. The house is big, well equiped and could accomodate 4 more people if there is a need. This is an old farm-house that was refurbished and the amenities are modern. The ambience in the house is warm and the surroundings are calm and beautiful. The living-room is big and in a cathedral style, yet the anthene for the satelite for the TV - could be enhanced (we played with it quite a bit before finding the right angle for it). The Kitchen is an open plan, equiped with all that is necessary and enables a family to enjoy meals together. Nevertheless, and as admited by the land-lord the electricity wiring was not safficient to sustain the level of heating needed and the saftey-control has jumped few times during our stay. It was as well indicated that this failure was due to be corrected a week after our staying there - a bit of a dissapointment. As well one of the showers was so damp that it actually smelled bad and the faucet in the same room didn't have hot water connected. That meant that we didn't use that facility at all. Hence, we recommend to check before booking that the infrastructure was upgraded and that everything is in good order. It is as well advisable that the procedure of showing the house as well as returning the keys at the end of staying will be explained in advance. It wasn't the case with us, which meant we have acted as before in staying in other premises - cleaned after us, taken off the sheets as required, closed the house and left...... while apparently we were supposed to wait for the the inspection of the house before leaving (something we were never required to do before). This is a very lovely place to spend a weekend or even a longer vacation in, pending the corrections indicated here.
