4 Bedroom Villa in Gocek

‘Icarus Heights’ is a detached villa, with sea and mountain views, overlooking the fabulous Bay of Göcek. Just 25 mins from Dalaman airport through the new tunnel. Göcek is peaceful, friendly and unspoilt from mass tourism, and because it is a yachting harbour, it has all the facilities you could need, including craft, gift, jewellery, and provision shops, banks, and a Sunday market, plus a stylish range of harbour and village, bars, cafes and restaurants. The nearest town is Fethiye, which is a modern town with a historic centre, and just 30 mins drive, or every 30 minutes by dolmus from opposite the estate (approx 5.5TL on the Turkish bus).
The detached villa has its own pool and garden, it is exceptionally well appointed, attractively furnished, and all rooms are air conditioned, with WiFi available. It sleeps 6 people ( + small child) and has unique disabled facilities suitable for wheelchair users plus the option of use of a pool hoist
The bedrooms are over two floors.
The lower floor has one double room with en suite shower, one double or twin room with adjacent bath/shower room (with disabled facilities,) and one single bedroom with the same bathroom opposite.
The upper floor has one twin bedded room (can be made double) with level floor shower room opposite (disabled friendly).
There is a spacious lounge with 2 large sofas (one of which is a double sofa bed) a small dining table with stools and a fully equipped kitchen, and shaded dining terrace. There is Wi Fi, TV, Bluetooth speaker, CD, DVD and docking station available.
The villa is strictly non-smoking.
Linen, bathroom and beach towels are provided.
We also provide basic grocery requirements, and a helpful Turkish (English speaking) representative to start your holiday.

Summary: It was very good. The star of the show is Mehmet! He knows everybody and arranged our transfers, hire car and a fantastic boat trip. He made everything very easy. The villa itself is nicely set up, but being on a development there was some occasional noise from neighbours. Overall, we had a really nice time.

Summary: Waking up to this picturesque peaceful scenery was truly breathtaking. Communication with owner Gill and her management Mehmet was swift. They went above and beyond our expectations. The villa was spacious and clean, we loved spending quality family time in the private pool and there was also the option to mingle with others in communal ones too. Walking distance to local supermarket or delivery via text. We had so much fun we did not even have time to watch tv. Finding that special somewhere for a disabled member of the family is always quite a challenge but Gill’s villa had it all. We shall return! Thank you so much.

Summary: In addition to its spaciousness, nice location and usability, the villa has everything one may ever need. They really made sure all our needs were met. This is probably the best holiday rental I had in 10 years. Mehmet, the chap who manages the property, is such a great guy. Five star for everything :)

Summary: We have just had a great holiday in Gocek. The Villa is in a great location, only 20 minutes walk or a short taxi ride in to Gocek centre, which is an amazing holiday resort. Both Gill and her manager Mehmet were incredibly helpful. Overall a really enjoyable holiday.

Summary: From the moment I made contact to the moment we finally set foot over the threshold we felt taken care of. Gill was tremendously helpful and prompt with any of my questions and Mehmet attended to all of our additional needs or questions on the location. The home is romantically surrounded and entangled in vines and other manicured foliage. It also has a lovely view of the town, mountains and the bay. The home was clean and had everything we needed to make the best of a week's vacation, including a fully equipped kitchen and directions to everything convenient to the area and about the area. Thank you for this lovely opportunity to enjoy your gem of a home. It will make going back even harder, but I will cherish the memories.

Summary: We enjoyed a weeks stay here in this lovely villa. It is nicely decorated and well furnished with everything you need plus a very well stocked kitchen. There is plentiful air conditioning in every room and on the outside a private pool to offset the heat. The views from the balcony table down towards Gocek harbour were particularly nice and made our meals out there all the more enjoyable. The welcome food package was a really welcome, generous and kind gesture. Mehmet, the property manager, was stand out. He was there for any questions and helped arrange a boat charter for us. The walk into town is a flat 20 minute stroll and provides easy access to Goceks many restaurants. You have to cross the big main road to walk into town however pedestrian crossings are at the exit road from the villa. You can hear the noise from this main road from the villa when relaxing by the pool which is a bit of a shame. You hear no noise inside the villa so sleeping etc. wasn't affected. The gardens around the villa were lovely with lots of beautiful flowers on display. A car or use of a taxi is a must if you intend to eat at home and to carry your shopping! Communication with the owner Gill was swift and really good. Overall, I would recommended this lovely well priced villa.

Summary: My family and I spent 12 wonderful days in Villa Icarus Heights 14 in July 2019. The room was clean and comfortable. Mehmet received us and provided us with the important information. The children had fun in the private pool at all times, so we as parents could relax. Göcek is a small beautiful town with a marina, we were happy to have dinner with the children in the small town of Essen and then take a walk. We were on many beaches, but our favorite Iztuzu Plaj, everything was great here, the cost was all acceptable, and we found the other beaches too expensive. Since we traveled by car, we were able to reach many places easily. Fehtiye is a little bigger and is about half an hour away. In Göcek there are many delicious restaurants and cafes, our favorite is Caesar-ET. We were only in Fehtiye twice, mostly for shopping. We found the small town of Göcek much more beautiful, the town of Göcek is easy to relax. A big thank you to Gill, he answered every question quickly by email.

Summary: Where to start? Our connecting flights landed us at Dalaman airport very early after whole night stop at Istanbul so Gill was very kind to let us check in as soon as we came to Gocek. It was great thing as we were very tired and hanging around until 4PM would be some task. Villa was absolutely great for our family with 3 kids. Modern villa with amenities you need in very quiet location. The pool was the hit of the week as we're not really into crowded beaches and the beautiful hot weather helped us to take the absolute most of it. Kids and wife were using it for whole day, I enjoyed night swims. Gocek is very nice place for peaceful vacation, prices affordable and Fethiye, the big and busy city is only half an hour drive. Mehmet, the property manager gave us his phone for contact anytime though we made some research before going there and didn't need lot of help. I recommend Gill and his home to anyone and if we're not for exploring some other parts of Turkey next year, than it's Icarus Heights 14 again. It already feels as home away from home.
