Positive: I have just returned from a mother/daughter/bump baby moon in Marrakech and it was perfect. We booked Villa Serena fairly last minute, but arranged everything including airport transfers (70EUR return) and a couple of excursions (hammam spa and cooking class) with the speedy help of our kind French-speaking host. For the other half of our week-long stay, we lounged and soaked up the sun by the pool, disturbed only by the in-house parrot and frequent refreshment breaks…just bliss. The villa is smart, beautifully decorated and immaculately clean. As there was only 1 other travelling party there during our week’s stay- it soon felt like home…but better :) In particular, we were bowled over by the kindness and hospitality of Samar, who set a gold standard for Moroccan hospitality as she fed us like royalty during every meal sitting. THANK YOU, SAMAR, and we miss you already!
Negative: Although the location was knowingly around 35 minutes taxi from the main Medina, we liked this feature as we were not visiting for the hustle and bustle of the city. We easily arranged for reliable round trips at a cost of DHM400. There was nowhere within walking distance for basic amenities, but our hosts very kindly provided everything we could have wanted during our stay- and more.

Positive: Wonderful and attentive hosts who were very kind. Lovely pool area to relax and big bedroom. Option to have lunch/dinner at the Villa (chicken with lemon and olives was amazing). Breakfast was eggs and bread, but did ask for fruit and was provided it which was nice! Property is 35mins from Marrakech and you can organise a taxi through the hotel (200DH) which is more expensive than indrive (110DH) (Uber like app) but worth it.

Positive: It was just the perfect Place in Paradies. After all the Noise and busy life in Marrakesh it felt Like Heaven. The best way to get some relaxation after all the input in the city before you head Home. The food is amazing and with a lot of variaty, everything gets Taken off & the owners/ stuff are just wonderful people. The whole area is designed to perfektion and now and then you see a little turtle walking by.

Positive: great interior design, gardens and pool and Lou gets separate inside and outside dining/ sitting area. night time lighting stunning. quiet and restful, all rooms of similar size etc massage room on site.
Negative: A little far from Marrakesh so only 1 trip a day really feasible but balanced by the space we gained by being out of the city.
Summary: great fun, lovely hostess and team who were all flexible to cater for our needs and ensure we had a great holiday.
