In the heart of lush nature, the Te Fetia Nui villa, located on the heights of Vaiare, facing the island of Tahiti, overlooks the ocean.
Modern, wooden, bioclimatic, the villa benefits by its atypical architecture from natural air conditioning by venturi effect.
The holiday villa, for short term rental, offers all the necessary comfort for your stay in Moorea.
It can accommodate 6 people in 3 bedrooms with 3 double beds and plenty of storage space in each bedroom to make you feel at home.
Upstairs, the villa has on a first level a living room with a spacious sofa and a HD TV, a fully equipped American kitchen, a bedroom and a bathroom.
The kitchen is equipped with everything you need to simmer good meals: a 5-burner gas stove, a fan oven, a fridge-freezer, a food mixer, a Nespresso coffee machine, a toaster, kettle. For your comfort, a dishwasher is at your disposal.
The bedroom has a 140X200 bed, a bedside table and a large wardrobe. It is very bright, pleasant and fresh. A large picture window opens onto the terrace and the stairs which lead to the swimming pool.
The bathroom is made up of a large shower, a spacious mahogany wooden top from the Moorea mountains, in the middle of which stands a sink. The toiletries, soap and shampoo, are offered to you as well as the provision of a hair dryer. Soft towels, 2 per person and a bath towel, are also provided. A washing machine will facilitate your stay in case of need with a covered drying space outside as well as a dryer. A bathroom is also present.
A staircase descends to join the two other large bedrooms and a bathroom.
The first bedroom has a 160x200 bed, 2 bedside tables, a wardrobe and a chest of drawers. A French window leads to a flowered balcony which overlooks the garden and the swimming pool.
The second bedroom, very spacious, in addition to a 140X200 bed, a bedside table and a wardrobe offers a large workspace if you need to work in peace. A French window also leads onto a balcony and a deck to reach the swimming pool below.
The villa opens onto a spacious covered terrace. It is a living and resting space, ideal for lounging, reading, enjoying the view of the ocean, the mountains that surround it and Tahiti. A space is decorated with armchairs, ottomans, cushions and a large coffee table. A second space has a large table that can seat 8 people to share your meals.
Facing the rising sun, the view offers a wonderful spectacle every morning, just like once a month, a splendid moonrise over the reliefs of the island of Tahiti.
Below, a private swimming pool of 7x4 meters allows you to cool off in the heart of the surrounding nature. Around, a deck with deckchairs and a parasol invite you to lie down.
The garden around the villa and the swimming pool is planted with mango, banana, papaya, avocado, breadfruit trees, passion flowers (passion fruit) that you can pick (depending on the season) and taste. The intoxicating smell of jasmines, tiara, ylang-ylang ... will accompany your evenings.
Only our 3 adorable cats, Twist, Grigris and Rourou can visit you, the villa, the swimming pool and the garden being entirely yours.
Free WiFi covers all rooms in the villa. The flow is quite low due to the location of the city in the valley. Wouldn't it be great to log out a bit!
To get to the villa, leaving the main ring road which goes around the island, a concrete road for 300 meters which plunges to the bottom of the valley will lead to a dirt road which must be followed on 200 meters to discover the villa. The dirt road is regularly leveled and re-aggregated, however, depending on the latest weather conditions, you must drive slowly so that access is easier. You will be disoriented when you arrive, that's guaranteed!
A means of transport will be necessary to get around.

Summary: This house was fantastic. There were 4 of us. Within walking distance to the ferry which was perfect. We used the pool more than once on hot days. Pretty views. Comfy. Plenty of room for us to move around. The house was clean and out favorite part was being able to play and snuggle with the kitties. Felt like home. Quick 10 min drive to a public beach. Would definitely recommend.

Summary: This place was amazing!! Beautiful jungle setting, not on the beach but frankly we didn’t miss it due to the fantastic pool, totally secluded and private but 3 min to the main road around Mo‘orea, 5 min to the ferry. One thing to note: you will need to rent a car with sufficient clearance to navigate a short but very rocky part of the road leading to the villa. The kitchen is fully stocked with all dishes, glassware, utensils, and everything you need for cooking. François and Mathilde have also stocked basics like oils, spices, pods for the Nespresso (although there is also a French press so buy some ground Tahitian coffee if you like more than a cup in the morning!). AND they provided one gorgeous Tahiti Queen pineapple for each day of our 9 day rental (these are the sweetest pineapples this side of the Antigua black) and some lovely “apple” bananas. There were flowers everywhere upon our arrival - a lovely welcoming touch. The bedrooms (3) are spacious with comfortable beds, and the upstairs bathroom has a wonderful rain shower. Also, there is a fan and a mosquito repellent device in each bedroom - the place is cooled quite efficiently by leaving the doors and windows open, the breeze is lovely, and keeping the fans on kept mosquito bites to a minimum. That being said, it is probably not a good choice for those who need ice cold air conditioning to be comfortable. Two cats live there - they are delightful and cuddly, and will hang out with you on the deck or the sofa, by the pool, and even sleep in the bed with you (so maybe not a good choice for those with allergies). To be clear, we are cat people and LOVED this feature!! Another thing to note: there are chickens everywhere around and the roosters vocalize all day starting about 30 min before sunrise and finally quieting around 30 min after sunset. We found this mostly charming, and we didn’t miss a single beautiful sunrise 🌄. With all the open doors, the chickens will enter the house if you go down to the pool so we learned to close the doors on the top level leaving a gap less than one chicken wide 🙂 All in all, we couldn’t have imagined a better place to stay for our time on Mo’orea. Totally private, comfortable, and luxurious in all the right ways. It truly became our home away from home.

Summary: My husband and I enjoyed 5 nights at this property above Vaiare. The views were absolutely fabulous. The outdoor patio extends from the kitchen to bring the outdoors inside. The pool is beautiful and private. We enjoyed having a washing machine since this was the second half of our Moorea vacation. The pool is reached from the house by descending two long, steep staircases. This could be a concern for someone with mobility issues. The road leading to the property contains a section of about 150 yards that is very difficult to drive over in a “regular” car. A vehicle with greater clearance and larger tires would make the access easier. We found it challenging to sleep well the first couple of nights without air conditioning. We must have acclimated because we slept better later in our stay. Please be aware that roosters will crow throughout the day and night and neighboring dogs can cause a ruckus. Overall, we were very pleased to spend 5 nights at this lovely home. We felt we were able to get a more authentic Moorea experience than we would have staying at a resort.

Summary: We stayed at this home and loved it. It was beautiful and the pool was great at the end of the day. We have stayed at other places in Moorea but this is our favorite, we will be staying here again. The hosts were thoughtful, helpful and paid attention to every detail.
