Positive: The location is amazing. The vila itself is very beautiful. Old french vila. The host was nice.
Negative: All the photos provided of the vila are rooms you cannot use. I find this very misleading. Yes its pretty but you get to live in a room underground and not use any of those beautiful rooms. That was very annoying. Also, no AC, which was mentioned in the facilities. You need to open the window as its steaming hot but if you do, bunch of mosquitoes come in. I spent one night and did okay. Would not spend there more than a few days. In conclusion:The reason you book a vila rather than a hotel is to have somewhere to cook, dine, store food and chill comfortably. None of those things were provided as they were very much expected. The price for parking was 12:50 but the host randomly bumped up the price to 20 euro. That was weird. Also the only area they leave to the residents is the front yard which is very neglected and dark. The ventilation in the bathroom was poor. Last but not least. Check out was at 10 AM. Never have i been forced to check out before 11:30.

Positive: Villa Tricia is the perfect play to stay in Cannes. Paul, who lives here in this beautiful home is lovely and immediately makes you feel at home. He was relaxed and very flexible for my needs. You never feel like you're intruding or that you cannot leave or come when you like - it's all very easy and cozy. Villa Tricia is perfectly situated in the city of Cannes, particularly if you are attending for the Cannes film festival. I walked everywhere during my stay. It's about a 30 minute walk along a beautiful beach to the city centre and the primary festival area. It's also a 30 minute walk to the secondary festival area in the other direction, the Cineum, which means that you can easily attend either area depending on your schedule - particularly as the buses can be stuck in traffic and very busy. One of the best things is that the house is less than a five minute walk from a beautiful beach that is not very busy. I was often going out at the end of the day to take a twilight dip in the ocean in the very warm water and pretty much had the beach to myself - though there's plenty of activity there during the day. I was walking barefoot there and using the very convenient on-beach showers. The room itself is very clean, a cleaner had thoroughly cleaned it right before my arrival. It's very large and well lit and there is a very nice bathroom shared between two rooms that I think was very comfortable.
Negative: As you're a little bit out of city centre there are not many corner shops around. There are restaurants a short 15-20 minute walk away and a small shop in a gas station but as food in Cannes is not that amazing in my experience I would recommend eating out of grocery stores and making a trip into town for that.
Summary: The perfect Cannes stay especially for the film festival. Easy, comfortable, and accessible.
