Travel Purpose: leisure
Positive: Gracious staff. First-rate, cooked-to-order breakfast. Tranquil garden with plunge pool. Two blocks from Salta's main square (and its truly unique, unforgettable MAAM museum). Don't forget El Charrua for dinner, just across the street. And DO rent a car or (better) gravel bike and head west to Rte 40, and then south to Cafayate, to see the other-worldly landscapes including the Quebrada de las Flechas.
Negative: Electrical outlets were scarce in the room -- but this is a common issue in vintage hotels.
Summary: First Choice when staying in Salta

Positive: Lovely colonial building, great location
Negative: Our biggest problem was breakfast. It’s quite weird that they commence their breakfast service at 7 in a touristy city where all the tours start at 7. We basically missed out on it every day. The hotel staff was not flexible with this. On the last day we got a breakfast box as we had to check out at 5 am, the box was pretty basic. Lastly one of the worst things was that the hotel has charged us for tea, without telling us we have to pay for it. Each evening we enjoyed the 2 coupes of tea and no one ever mentioned we need to pay extra for it. So we were surprised to be asked to pay for it at the check out
Summary: It’s a nice property to stay in but more can be done in terms of breakfast as well as small things to have in the room (

Positive: It was so charming and the staff was so friendly and helpful! We ordered a pizza from across the street and the receptionist brought it up to our room with plates and cutlery and an ice bucket for our wine. We needed a night in with Netflix.
Negative: Just that the parking is a block away but not really a problem.
Summary: Charming little place with wonderful details and great location!
