Summary: First of all let me say what a great holiday we had. We were a party of 12 family members age range 4 to 70 + dog. The rooms are huge and the outside area is fantastic. As the weather was v hot much of our time was spent in the fantastic pool and surrounds. The outside activities (table tennis, badminton climbing frame etc) were used when it got cooler. The indoor table football and pool were also used when the sun went down. Just a couple of minus points: The lack of WC's and wash basins. Should only be booked by a family who don't mind sharing!! Also spiral staircase bit awkward, especially with suitcases. The hob rings could have been bigger to accommodate the large saucepans required for 12 people. One of our team had a nasty accident when boiling water fell off the rings and splashed him badly. These comments are not meant to put anyone off staying here, just to be aware of! We had a super time and would recommend this villa. The pool was amazing and lots of silly games and fun was had the whole week. The housekeeper Melodie met us at the exact time we had arranged and always answered any queries we had. Any contact with the owner was professional and questions answered promptly.

Summary: Our party comprised four families 2 grandparents, 2 families of 4 and one of 3 including an 18 month old baby. The facilities of the house are fantastic and there is a definite wow factor when one arrives. Spacious grounds, very safe for the children, great children’s play area, amazing pools that are extremely well designed so that anyone in the adult pool can easily supervise children in their pool. Excellent provision of equipment including a pool table and table football indoors and table tennis, children’s climbing frame with slide, boule and badminton/volleyball outdoors. The downstairs living space is very good with dining being both indoors and outdoors on the shaded patio. There is a gate from the patio down to the pool area which can be secured. The only access to the first floor is via a narrow spiral staircase which we all managed but might be difficult for infirm folk. Also getting large cases up and down wasn’t easy. It was incredibly hot during our stay (mid to high 30s) and keeping the house particularly the upstairs cool was hard. Some fans would have been helpful. For such a large house the provision of bathrooms and toilets could be better, however we managed fine. The house is situated in a very quiet area of rolling countryside with easy access to the Vezere and Dordogne rivers. A couple of our party went for early morning runs in the surrounding lanes and we also used the bikes. I emailed Mr Urvoy several times prior to our stay with queries which he always responded to promptly and helpfully. During the stay the kitchen sink became blocked which we should have reported sooner but managed for a few days by using the plunger. The only other issue was that the pool pump failed (on our penultima day) and the engineer came out the same day though couldn’t fix it as a replacement was required. Luckily, we were still able to use the pool for which we were grateful as it was the only way to get through the afternoon heat! All in all we had a great time at the house and the four children aged 6,7,8 and 9 were never bored or lacking something to do.

Summary: We were a family of 12 , aged between 3 years to 75 years of age. Melodie was very welcoming and efficient both on arrival and departure. We adults all thought the villa was exactly as the photos described it and indeed excellently equipped. The heated pool was a winner with our 4 little ones , the smaller "pool" they particularly loved. However the larger pool was well used by us all as was the wonderful seating area. The villa although in a lovely rural walking area is so close to the pretty villages of the Dordogne that all of us enjoyed Les Ezyies and the caves, Sarlat, Domme, Beynac, Bergerac and of course thoroughly enjoyed Tuesday and Saturday market in La Bugue, our nearest pretty village. We all, despite Satnavs had a job originally finding Les Grange as this is an area but all got there! There were 4 "units" , two families of 4, one younger couple and two grandparents. Upstairs we had only one separate toilet and one en suite bath/ shower in main bedroom . This to be shared by 6adults and 2 children. It would have been lovely to have had a hand wash basin within the toilet. Anyone who has limited mobility could find the spiral stairs a problem.There is however a shower room and separate toilet downstairs. We mentioned to Melodie that on use of washing machine we always experienced cut out of power despite ensuring no other electrical item being used at time which was a nuisance . However we loved the villa, the brilliant play area, bikes, we loved the BBQ and the covered outside area although due to storms we had on a couple of occasions to eat inside ( great tables and seating areas inside and outside) . Everything has been so well thought out in making this villa comfortable, homely and efficient. Thank you so very much . The Halloran and Richard families
