Summary: We spend a wonderful week at this beautiful villa in a stunning location. The accommodation itself was clean, spacious and homely but it was the hospitality from Samantha and Nicola that really made our trip special. We can't thank them enough for their kindness and generosity during our stay. Would highly recommend.

Summary: We have now returned from our Italian holiday staying for 10 days at Samantha and Nicola's wonderful villa in Fragneto Monforte which we would recommend anyone to stay at. From the initial booking, arriving and time spent there Samantha's communication made the process easy. The whole family are kind and helpful, including their generous supply of amazing fresh vegetables and fresh eggs, one night coming to make fresh pizza with us (cooked in the outdoor fire oven) and the offer to make fresh pasta. The villa had everything we needed, though we spent most of the time by the fantastic large pool which was cleaned every day. Our daughter and granddaughters had the whole of the apartment on the top 2 floors of the villa. There is plenty of outside seating where we ate most nights listening to the built-in music system. There is also free Wifi at the villa which is excellent. The villa is situated 10mins walk from the village where there is a small supermarket, butcher, 2 bars which include coffee and gelato! The local residents, though their English was as limited as our Italian, couldn't have been more welcoming. Though you can drink water from the tap, for only 5 cents/litre, you can head to the village and fill up your empty water bottles with fresh natural water which come in still and fizzy - a real treat. We spent most of our time in the pool but also went into Benevento which has large supermarkets, restaurants, shops and is only a 25min drive. We went there a couple of times for lunch and dinner and found a good restaurant in front of the Arco Di Traiano. Samantha was incredibly helpful in recommending local historical sites to visit and we enjoyed visiting the Roman ruins at Saepinum, about 20mins away from the villa and free to enter. We also went to the lovely town of Pietrelcina where Padre Pio was born, again only about 20mins away. In summary, we had a wonderful family holiday amongst the beautiful scenery and people of Fragneto Montforte, supported by our perfect hosts. We couldn't recommend this villa more highly. 6 and 8 yr old Granddaughters - 'Our favourite things at the villa were the cats Tigro and Demitri and the swimming pool. We really loved the pizzas in Italy especially the ones we made with Samantha. We love the pony, Pepe and the sheep+goats. We enormously love the icecream, the place we went was 2euro for two scoops! We liked the room we slept in because it had bunk beds . We like the whole house. We love Italy!'

Summary: Where to start? There are so many positives about our holiday and truly nothing negative to say. The house is as wonderful as it looks and the grounds and pool really are superb. The wood-fired pizza oven, the BBQ and the multiple outside dining areas just add to excellent facilities. The views from the house are fabulous and the house stands in large secluded grounds at the end of a small road. The village of Fragneto Monforte is charming with small restaurants, good grocery provisions and a very nice cafe bar. The whole experience is wonderful. The only difficulty we had was trying to drag our children away from the house for site-seeing as they would have gladly not moved for 2 weeks! However, if that wasn't enough! As expressed before by many previous guests, it's the owners that make your holiday much more than you could expect. Samantha, Nicola and family stop at no length to accommodate your every need. They helped with so many things and never hesitated to give their time to make our experience as good as possible. We've had good hosts before but this was something else. Without doubt, some of the best moments of our holiday were the times we shared with their family like at the pizza evening they arranged, and we truly feel we've made new friends that that I hope and I'm sure we'll meet again.

Summary: We can't thank our hosts, Samantha and Nicola enough for making our holiday extra special. They are the most kind and generous hosts. The house, pool (which they cleaned every day for us) and surroundings are absolutely lovely. If we could give this place more than 5 stars we would. Samantha and Nicola came and made us pizza on my niece's birthday and made her a cake too which made the occasion even more special. We enjoyed all the fresh produce straight from the garden and the kids loved helping out with the animals every day. Samantha also came one evening and showed us all how to make pasta, which we all enjoyed. This property is in a great location - a lovely town with all the amenities you need and a great base to do some sight seeing. We spent days out at Pompeii, Herculaneum, Vesuvius and also took a boat trip along the Amalfi coast during our 2 week stay. We would not hesitate recommending booking this house.

Summary: Unfortunately we’re all getting back to normality again now but will have amazing memories of such a fantastic holiday. The villa is fantastic, swimming pool amazing and deep enough to dive into at the deep end. We have made fantastic new friends; Nicola and Samantha really do all they can to ensure you have a wonderful time. The pizza oven fired pizza evening was fantastic all with fresh produce grown at the property. If you’re happy exploring with a rental car then this villa is a fantastic base from which to visit Pompeii, Herculaneum, Vesuvius and the Amalfi Coast. Also a great place to visit if you enjoy cycling, though a love of hill climbing is essential! In summary, simply amazing! Grazie mille Nicola e Samantha :-)

Summary: Simply put this was an amazing place! We have visited Italy many times, mostly in Tuscany and Veneto. This time we decided to head further south and into Naples which was only 1hr 20mins drive away. After an early start we arrived to find homemade pizza and tart, chilled wine and few bottles of beer waiting for us! We were two families with children aged 13, 10 and 8. The house has a great layout, two double rooms downstairs, one with separate on suite, both open out onto the pool area. The adjoining kitchen is really well equipped with a huge refectory table that can easily seat 10+ people. Upstairs there is a self contained apartment with full kitchen and bathroom with a further two rooms, 1 double and 1 with bunk beds. Outside you have covered seating (with music!), next to the beautiful, well maintained 10m x 5m pool or open air seating next to the BBQ/Pizza oven. The kids spent most of their time in the pool and really enjoyed feeding the goats and collecting eggs in the morning, not forgetting feeding the 2 cats and Pepe the pony! The village has 2 small supermarkets, Pharmacy, Bank, market day, 2 coffee bars, 1 pub and two restaurants (Mentolecale was good), you can survive here for the duration of your stay but the region is stunning so hire a car. The place would have been perfect just on its own, but what makes this a superb stay is the Host Samantha, who went out of her way to make our time in Fragneto so enjoyable. She organised a Pizza night at the house, took us to a local concert, invited back to her townhouse for aperitifs and came one lunchtime to give us a pasta making course! She also helped with local arrangements, booking restaurants and making sure we knew where to go in the village. Visit the local butcher as they have amazing produce, and sample the cheap and fantastic wine that Samantha provides in the house. We came away feeling really relaxed, and we made a very special friend in Samantha. We rarely return to the same place but we already talked about when we should visit again!

Summary: We stayed in this villa for a special family holiday in May 2016. Our ages ranged from 7 to (almost) 70 and we all had a fabulous week. The pool and villa we thought were stunning and we felt very at home for our stay with everything we could need. We easily travelled for day trips to Pompeii and Herculaneum/Vesuvius as well as exploring more locally. All fantastic, but made so much more so by our hosts..thank you for the hospitality, advice, tourist info, incredible pizza and fun (thinking water pistol fights and ice cream here!) A truly fantastic week.

Summary: What a wonderful holiday with wonderful hosts. The villa was perfect and the area stunning. The pool was well used despite the fact it was October and the animals were a treat. But what made this holiday special was people. Samantha, Nicole and their family and friends were so welcoming and friendly and they went out of their way to look after us after a dreadful Storm blocked the road and we couldn't get out!!! The people in the village also looked after us and despite the weather, we had a wonderful time. A special place with special People. Highly recommended.
