Positive: We had a wonderful vaction at Villa Xini. Our host Ted is a very kind and smart person, wo was always open for conversation. He arranged a transfer from Malta Airport for us, so we could reach our destination without any poblems. The house itself was big, full of light and we had a nice terrsace and garden with an outstanding, private pool! The house is located in a calm neighbourhood, but a good pizza place and small shops just a few minutes walk away. We can imaginge, going there again, some time soon with our friends. Lovely place!

Positive: I wanted to rent a comfortable villa with a private pool, outdoor space and a bbq. Villa Xini was completely perfect for my needs. The pool is glorious to dive into after warming up in the sun, but the lights also made it great for a magical swim after it got dark. The bbq was a good size - there were only 2 of us but it would easily be large enough to cook for 6 people. The garden is beautiful, with pomegranate and olive trees - it’s a wonderful place to spend the day on a sun lounger reading. The bedrooms and most of the inside spaces are built of stone and give a really charming feel. The beds were really comfortable and there was plenty of storage. The bathroom and kitchen, if I’m being critical, are a bit dated, but we’re a good size, have everything you could need and were spotlessly clean. The owner, Ted, was really friendly and was easily contactable if we needed anything. The villa also has bikes at a reasonable price which Ted bought over and were really great for seeing some of Gozo. There are plenty of shops in walking distance with everything you could need (including a Lidl if you can’t get something in one of the smaller shops) and Victoria (which is absolutely lovely) is only 25 mins or so on foot. All in all, if you want to rent a comfortable place with a beautiful garden and spend most of your time outside, Villa Xini is definitely for you. I really enjoyed my stay and would definitely book again if I’m ever back in Gozo.

Negative: The only thing I think could be improved is the towels and sheets. They were spotlessly clean (like everything else in the villa), just a bit old. Not really a big deal in my opinion and it certainly wouldn’t put me off staying at this lovely place.

Positive: Lovely space and airy, I liked the artwork and sculpture that was both in the house and in the garden. The pool was lovely; clean easy access and surrounded by olive and pomegranate trees. Would have liked to have seen it in spring.

Negative: Hawkers we’re a bit noisy in the morning but we got used to it.
