Positive: Location was great. It's right of the Stowe Recreation Path and convenient to everything the town has to offer. Yet it was also very quiet. The resort's indoor and outdoor pools were nice, The staff at the resort were also very nice and helpful, especially considering this was a Vacassa rental and they really don't have anything to do with the rental. The grounds were neatly manicured. As for Unit 1A, the bathrooms are decent, plenty of hot water, mini splits for AC worked well, though surprised they didn't have one in the second downstairs bedroom, the living room furniture was comfortable and there was a HUGE big screen TV. We liked that the two bathrooms and bedrooms were on the first floor (another two beds were upstairs in a loft area).
Negative: Was very disappointed the outdoor pool was not heated. Would have enjoyed it more. The buildings are worn and need tender loving care. Need power washing, painting, etc. Unit 1A the decking going into the unit - the paint is all peeling. Inside the unit there are a ton of light switches everywhere and it was still very dark. The kitchen appliances worked, but the kitchen was small and barely any counter space. The wallpaper was peeling off the walls in the kitchen. Kitchen supplies just thrown in the drawers and cabinets. Big pot was dirty- had to scrub it. Plus had no lid so I had to make one out of aluminum foil. Another non stick pot totally scratched up and unusable. Closet in the master bedroom- blankets and stuff just thrown on the floor and lamps stored in there. We wouldn't hang our clothes in it. I mean- what kind of impression is that for guests? Back storm door has such a big gap under it that we couldn't leave the inside door open for more light for fear a critter or bugs would crawl in under it. Weather stripping on front door hanging off. Also in the vestibule area when you come in the front door there is a slight "sewer" smell at times and I think it's because the septic/sewer is right alongside the townhouse. We just got the feeling that whoever owns this town home doesn't really have a lot of pride in it. We also had a question for Vacassa regarding the recycling situation and all I can say is they were of no help which was frustrating. Thankfully the resort staff advised us and gave us some bags since there was only one pail in the unit for garbage. Also- found it laughable that they use a single little key in a lock box in this day and age. It worked well- yes- but you'd think they'd have a key card or something more modern and secure for a door lock. Stowe is a safe area- I know- but still..........
