Quiet and secluded studio for two in the heart of a picturesque Provencal hilltop village. The studio has a stunning view of the Luberon hills. There is a pretty private terrace and access to a large garden.
The studio was completely renovated in 2014 to a high standard. It is situated behind the owner's property but quiet, secluded and private. It's 30m2 (323 sq ft) with a separate bathroom.
The terrain means that the Studio is not suitable for wheelchair users or people with severe mobility issues. Please do contact me to discuss your accessibility needs and I would be happy to advise.
It is light and airy with two huge windows. One opens onto the private, jasmin scented terrace with table and chairs and two Lafuma armchairs. The other opens entirely to give a 2m x 2m (6ft x 6ft) opening onto a beautiful view of the Luberon.
The kitchen is compact but well equipped with an oven, a 2 ring ceramic hob, a micro-wave, a large fridge with a freezer compartment and a dishwasher. There is a Weber gas barbecue for guests' exclusive use.
Guests have access to the greater part of a large terraced garden with two sun loungers for their private use.
Goult is still one of the lesser known hill-top villages of the Luberon and retains a great deal of its charm. The Café de la Poste is one of the liveliest in the area and is 2 mins walk from the property. However, even when it's busy, you can't hear it from the studio. The village also has a butcher, a baker, a hairdresser, a grocer/green grocer, a post office, a tourist information centre, a beautician, gift shops and a number of restaurants. All accessible on foot. Thursday is market day in the village. The doctor is 1km (1/2 mile) away in Lumières.
Getting here:
Buses run to/from Avignon TGV station to Lumières.
From Marseille/Provence airport, you take a shuttle bus to Vitrolles and then a train to Cavaillon. Then bus from there to Lumières and I will collect you. (Or rent a car)

Summary: Once again we had a wonderful stay in the Goult Studio. Ailie was charming and extremely helpful in all things Provencal. We enjoyed the local restaurants: Le Carillon, La Bartavelle and La Terrace. Also enjoyed the newest addition, Le Goultois, which is a new cafe. A happy, tranquil home away from home. Summary: was given to us by Ailie and "the Goult Studio"...the moments spent there, the beauty surrounding us, the feeling of warmth, relaxation and peace enveloped us. It was a very special stay in a very special place. The property was perfect for us, beautifully thought out, lighting, kitchen, bath all convenient and modern, bedding excellent. Patio gave us so many moments of pure pleasure...we miss it already, and will return!

Summary: The Studio is beautifully located overlooking the Luberon hills and completely private even though it is in the owner's garden. The accommodation is perfect for two people and well thought out in terms of layout. It is fitted out to a very high standard and is blessed with a terrace and a garden of its own. Goult, the village where the Studio is located, offers a bakery, a charcuterie, a specialist cheese shop and a general store. There are several restaurants and an excellent pizzeria. The Studio is the perfect place to enjoy quiet, even though the village square is only about 100 yards away. And it is a village worth getting to know and to appreciate. Further afield there are other interesting villages, but Goult is very special. As is the Studio's owner, who is English, has lived in Goult for many years, and is always helpful without being intrusive. We have had a wonderful time. Margaret

Summary: The Studio in Goult was the perfect base for exploring the beautiful Luberon countryside and villages. Ailie was a thoughtful and helpful host who looked after us very well. The village of Goult is literally on the doorstep and contained everything we needed including a great selection of restaurants and a Thursday market. The weather was fantastic throughout, allowing us to enjoy al fresco dining with a beautiful view south over the Luberon massif. Highly recommended.

Summary: We so enjoyed our 2 week stay at this amazing studio. The space is an extremely well designed open floor plan, with the most breathtaking views of the valley and hills, from both the living space and the patio. We also enjoyed strolling down into the lower garden, to read or enjoy a glass of wine while watching the sunset over the valley. We often commented that it felt like we were living in a ideal tree house. The studio is extremely well equipped should you desire to make meals, which we did. It even provides you with the traditional straw shopping bag for the Thursday morning farmers market. The bed is extremely comfortable. There was nothing more we could have needed or wanted. Ailie was the perfect host who provided fresh flowers and a bottle of chilled rose wine for our arrival. She is always extremely quick to respond to any questions or needs and truly provides wonderful materials on the surrounding villages and things to do. Summary: We can’t wait to return to this wonderful studio. Bright and airy, the perfect little hideaway for two. The views are fantastic out over the Luberon. Only a stones throw from the center of Goult, it was easy to get to the Cafe de la Poste for our morning coffee. The kitchen is, however, well appointed and one could easily make coffee in the studio. Ailie was a thoroughly charming host and was extremely helpful in recommending restaurants and day trips. Summary: We can heartily recommend the Goult Studio. It is spacious as studios go. The bed is very comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped. The bathroom has modern fittings, complete with a rail in the shower for the less able to hang on to. In fact, we found the studio contained everything we needed. From both the studio itself and the lovely garden immediately below, the view over the Calavon Valley towards the Petit Luberon is magnificent, with Ménerbes and Bonnieux visible on a clear day. Ailie Collins, our landlady, could not have been more charming, helpful and responsive to our various needs. Goult is a small village, so the environment is peaceful and quiet, but its facilities are more than adequate: a café, 3 restaurants, a grocer, a cheese shop and more It boasts a mediaeval chateau, a romanesque parish church which, unlike others, is usually open, and a wonderful lookout point at the Jerusalem Mill.

Summary: The Studio is comfortable with everything we needed and then some. Ailie’s binder with instructions for heat/AC, TV, grill, gate, outdoor lights, etc. was very helpful. In addition, she provided maps and brochures of local towns/attractions that were helpful for itinerary planning. The view from the large door wall is magnificent! The area of the Luberon is wonderful with all it’s little villages and daily markets, but Goult is especially compact with cafe, restaurants, grocer, bakery, butcher, wine shop, pizza shop, etc. It’s a closely secret, so SHHH! Don’t tell anyone!

Summary: We stayed in this studio for a week and can really recommend it. The studio is very clean, fully equipped and furnished with attention to detail. The private parking is just in front of the house. The garden and surroundings are beautiful. Our host Ailie was very friendly and helpful, it was a real pleasure to meet her.
