"The Sierra City Chalet" is a comfortable vintage cabin with everything you need to make your visit to Sierra City memorable. In Winter access the Tahoe National Forest easily, vehicle and trailer staging right up Highway 49. Snowmobile, cross country ski and snowshoes available on request. Springtime flowers start in May here @4300'.
A giant lawn surrounds us, offering the opportunity for wildlife viewing with a large lawn for dark sky stargazing. In Spring, Summer, and Fall months we have lawn games such as croquet and cornhole for your use. We now have Starlink for internet.
Enjoy the deck for outdoor BBQ's and privacy. The master bedroom has a queen size bed with a sliding glass door to the back deck, (T.V. on request). For those who have children or pets the back deck is gated for their safety. A new firm mattress is in the guest room and a T.V. Both downstairs rooms have dressers and closets. The upstairs loft has a queen and a twin bed. extra single mattress too. The front room has a dining and living room area combo. We have books, games, cards and TV too. In true A frame style, a beautiful rock fireplace and knotty pine interior will have you feel like you have stepped back in time. The kitchen is well stocked with anything you could want. We welcome you to adopt this house as a yearly tradition. Our cabin is owned by a local family. Snow removal in the winter as well as garage access.
