Positive: Let the lovely Sonia and her fabulous team at the Virunga Hotel look after you. From organising tours to the Mountain Gorillas 🦍 in the Volcano National Park to a delicious meal in their restaurant. My room was comfortable, immaculately clean and quiet. The hotel is in the heart of the CBD within a few minutes walk of shops, cafes, supermarkets, restaurants, bus station, banks and pharmacies. The swimming pool looks lovely and makes for great wedding photos.

Positive: They are building a whole new part of this hotel, construction is only during the day so its no big deal since you'll be out most the day. I did the canoe trip down the river and golden monkeys - both really great. The hotel is right downtown and they are so organized to have breakfast ready to go at 6am (before I got picked up at 6.15am) they had put me in a room i didn't really like and they were happy to change it which was better. Lady serving Breakfast was awesome and it was actually really good breakfast
