Positive: We had an amazing time at Varakas House and George was so friendly from meeting us when we arrived to messaging when we left. Tochni was a great location to explore the island and the studio apartment was ideal for us - spotlessly clean, comfortable bed, great shower and tranquil location with so much history. Would love to return with extended family to have the whole place.

Negative: Nothing - it was a fabulous holiday with a fantastic host.

Summary: Excellent - we loved it from the moment we arrived and didn't want to return home.

Positive: Close to everything yet far enough from the noise of many people. We loved the house, the antique feeling, the canopy bed, the breakfast outside in the sun. The host was very friendly too.

Negative: The bathroom could take a little remodeling

Summary: I would return in an instant. If it were for sale and I had the $, I’d buy it too 😉

Positive: Roomy, comfortable bedrooms with good air conditioning. Nice pool. Lovely cat visitors.

Negative: Thin wall between bedroom and next apartment, could hear next door talking when in bed. Shower room/ toilet on small side. Not much space around the pool. Noisy water pump, switching on and off throughout the day. George the host was very rude to my wife and daughter on the first day when they arrived an hour early to enquire about where to park. He told them to get out and virtually pushed them out of the entrance to the accommodation. No apology has been forthcoming.

Positive: Set in the heart of a traditional Cypriot village, this beautiful little gem provided the much-needed rest we were looking for. George is a fantastic host attentive, thoughtful, and always checking in to ensure we had everything we needed. We stayed in the deluxe studio apartment, which was immaculate and fully equipped with everything for a comfortable stay. The village has two tavernas, both of which we enjoyed, but we also appreciated the option to cook in the apartment. We absolutely loved this place and will definitely be back.

Positive: We stayed 9 nights in George’s accommodation. George is a great host, and you can really feel his pride in Tochni and Cyprus itself. He had lots of good recommendations for us, including where the nicest beaches are located, shared his favorite tavernas with us, and told us many interesting stories. Nearly every day, he surprised us with fresh fruits from his garden, like figs, olives, pomegranates, and more. We highly recommend staying at one of George’s apartments. It’s his personality and the spirit of this little village that made our holiday truly amazing. Thank you, George! See you in the near future!
