Summary: A very clean and well renovated flat in the countryside with a very nice garden Quiet and relaxing for holidays , well located and 100km away from many sightseeings around the Rhine and Mosel.

Summary: The four of us spent a great week at this wonderful historic place. The host and hostess were very welcoming and very patient answering all our questions about the flora in the area. They also provided excellent suggestions for sightseeing. Then after a day doing the tourist thing, it was really nice to be able to sit in the garden and listen to the birds. The grounds invite you to explore and enjoy nature. I would gladly have stayed longer.

Summary: What a gem! Close enough and far away enough too from the towns of Koblenz and Bad Ems, Urbar was delightful. The surroundings were as beautiful as the property which boasted a gorgeous garden with a pond and many small waterfalls. There were chickens and geese (tucked safely away!) but best of all several cats ( one of whom shared our bed on our last night which owner Hans says is not a good thing but I think he should use the friendly cat as a further selling point- it made our leaving this beautiful place all the harder though). The apartment was a great size for 4 of us and lovely to come 'home' to after a busy day. I would highly recommend. Urbar bei Koblenz to anyone who wants a quiet rural setting but still close enough to the towns. Actually I wished I'd been able to take a day off 'touring' and family reunion type activities and had just wandered around or sat enjoying the peace and beauty of this part of the world. The owners are so kind to welcome people to this gorgeous home and I would recommend this property to anyone, especially those wanting serenity, delightful surroundings and the odd smooch from one of the cats.

Summary: We had a fantastic 3 day stay in Urbar, and can highly recommend this charming holiday apartment. Situated up a short flight of stairs, the apartment has a beautiful view across the gardens and over the hills on the other side of the small valley. Our two children had a great time exploring the gardens and playing outside the apartment - and we didn’t need to worry about cars and traffic, which was perfect. The apartment was the perfect size for our stay, and we would certainly consider staying longer in the future. The small kitchen, dining area with doors opening to the balcony and living area were spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated and very homely. The upstairs bedroom was really spacious, we slept perfectly every night! The downstairs bedroom was perfect for the children, and the loved the enormous double bed and old rustic wardrobes. The Koblenz Viewpoint, park area and cable car down to Koblenz’s Old Town were just 10 minutes away by car. Local shops made grocery shopping super easy. Frau Zimmermann and Herr Strobach were very welcoming, spoke very good English, were super helpful and charming hosts. We’ll definitely return to Urbar if we’re in this part of Germany again (which is very likely).

Summary: If you like nature and rest..its perfect..its also 5 min drive to top of the mountain..you can park youre car and go with cable down to citycentre..clean rooms big shower ..nice kitchen..maybee one minus point..is there is no wifi ..but for us it was perfect

Summary: Very nice, spacious and very clean appartment! It lies in a beautiful, peaceful location but still very close to Koblenz city centre. The owners are very nice and were happy to show us around their property. Only downside is that there is no working wifi and you'll need to take the car if you would like to go out for dinner (so you'll need a designated driver). Highy recommended for a visit to Koblenz!
