Positive: Such a beautiful apartment in a fantastic location. It was my 'french dream' and it more than lived up to my expectations. Laura is a fantastic host and I spent a very enjoyable 60th birthday week here. Incredibly close to all the major tourist attractions and transport systems but also in an incredibly quiet area, despite the fact that it's in the middle of France's third largest city. And for previous posters I loved the quirky design elements. I spent most of my evenings looking at the river traffic. Barely half a book was read while I was there (I read approx 3 books a week avg). Too much to watch outside.... Hopefully I will be back sometime soon.

Positive: Laura was a very responsive and helpful host, and went out of her way to accommodate our arrival and departure times. Her apartment has an unbeatable location for Lyon's central area and the view of the river is delightful. The apartment is nicely decorated and well supplied with all the essentials. It was a very quiet place for sleeping; the occasional passages of a riverboat blaring loud dance music were brief and limited to daylight hours.

Negative: As others have noted, the layout is odd, with both the kitchen and bedroom opening into the bathroom.

Negative: Heating was not consistently warm, dangerous having to step in and out of a bath to shower. Prefer shower only. Could have welcome milk in fridge for guests.

Positive: The location is great and the view over the river is amazing. The property is accessible with an elevator which was great since I had too many luggages. There was everything I needed in the apartment and basic equipment in the kitchen as well. The bed was comfy and kind of hidden, so calm and quiet nights. The owner, Laura, she is a very kind lady, speaks English as well and took care about everything I needed.

Negative: I just missed a wooden spoon in the kitchen.

Positive: Great apartment. Good location. Walkable to everywhere we wanted to go Very well equipped. Had all pots, plates, cutlery etc you would need if you wanted to cook. ( Although we didn't cook) Appreciated having tea and coffee available for mornings. Wfi good for some necessary work. Laura ( host) was very welcoming and gave us tips, maps and suggestions. Would happily stay here again.

Negative: Shower in the bath a little difficult. Heating is controlled and could have been warmer especially when showering. Bedroom could do with a door.
