Positive: Everything is just amazing. The staff is incredible and they are always there to help with anything. The food is incredible and they do the best they can to show you the animals. We had such a wonderful time there and I can’t wait to be back. The hotel idea is to make you feel like you’re traveling with your friends because you will have all meals in a big table where you are able to interact and know all the guests. It was amazing for us and hopefully we will see them again as well

Positive: Everything was exceptional - the staff were amazing, the lodges were comfortable, the food was incredible. We saw so many animals on the game drives and the staff really made every guest feel special and valued. Couldn’t fault it and absolutely would not hesitate to stay again.
Negative: Only having an outdoor shower was a bit limiting when it was too cold and dark to shower in the evenings. But this was still a pretty unique thing and is a very minor inconvenience. Everything was truly exceptional.
Summary: Absolutely amazing - probably the best holiday we’ve ever had, thanks to Vuyani

Positive: Great safari experience close to Hoedspruit airport. Layedback atmosphere with professional friendly staff attending to your every need. They made us feel part of their family.

Positive: Surrounded by nature, and wildlife. Access to game drives and the chance to see animals up close.
Negative: Limited drinks Options – some work to be done on the drinks menu. No cocktails , champagne or mimosa in the morning. The staff kept on saying they don't really get local visitors so we are not really catered for.

Negative: Because the property is a tent and not that large, you only have to shower outside which makes it difficult to shower in the early mornings in winter (certainly not before a game drive)

Positive: Vuyani River lodge exceeded all of my expectations from the room to the delicious food! Thank you to all of the staff who were extremely welcoming and helpful! A special mention to chef Adelaide who catered for my food preferences at the last minute without fuss. Also to Thomas our guide who managed to spot all big 5 plus much more in one game drive!!

Positive: The staff is great, most of them pay attention to customers needs.
Negative: My room has a really bad pee smell in the carpet. There are carpets all over including the bathroom area, it’s open area between bathroom sink and a bed. I can’t sleep because of pee smell. I report to the staff, she said the cleaner will clean again but I think the smell already suck inside the carpet. You can’t get rid of it. It’s not a good memory. The room also near the railroad, so it’s noisy.
Summary: Game nights and foods are good part of my trip.

Positive: We travel regularly to South Africa and we have been to many lodges before. But this lodge is hands down the best we have ever experienced! Our chalet was spacious and everything you look at is special. The bed is huge and comfortable and the deck is perfect for relaxing.The AC worked flawlessly and the Wifi was super fast. We loved the elevated outdoor shower! This is the best thing ever! The food was very tasty, the wine and spirits are all inclusive and the wine is excellent, we were so surprised. The safaris were simply out of this world! We saw cheetahs, lions, elephants, leopards rhinos, giraffes zebras and even wild dogs!!! So,so lucky. This lodge is an absolute gem! We stayed far too short and we will return very very soon! Many thanks for a great stay.😃😀
