Beaches – an easy five minute drive to the beautiful golden sand beaches of Oneroa, Little Oneroa and Palm Beach or 10 minutes to Onetangi Beach. Within walking distance is the ‘lovely at high tide’ inner harbour Surfdale beach.
Vineyards – within 5-12 minutes drive to a dozen of the finest vineyards and restaurants on Waiheke, including Cable Bay, Mudbrick, Goldie, Te Whau, Stoneyridge and Casita Miro
Bush walks and playgrounds - plenty of beautiful bush and coastal walks. Numerous children's playgrounds within five minutes drive.
Shopping - within five minutes drive each way to either the Oneroa shops, restaurants and cafes or the Ostend supermarket, Placemakers and the ‘famous on Waiheke’ Saturday market.
Wharves – close to both Kennedy Point and Matiatia wharves

Summary: The property had everything we required plus more. Communication with Milly was excellent making the process very easy. Everything matched the online information. Location was also perfect.

Summary: The house was really clean and had everything we needed - well stocked cleaning products, kitchen staples etc. Beds were comfy too. Being that the house is elevated, it does move quite a bit when people are moving around the house - we noticed this but it wasn't an issue. The heatpump (aircon) was great for the very hot days we had. There was one fan in a room and we took a travel fan with us too. As the aircon doesn't reach the bedrooms, a fan in each room would have been ideal. But again, we managed fine. Location was good for Surfdale shops and the bus although there are no footpaths so keep that in mind for young children. We didn't have a car so the location wasn't as convenient as we could have chosen on Waiheke as Surdale is quite small, however we did everything we needed to through buses and occassional (extortionate) taxis.

Summary: The property has a great layout for adult family and plenty of space for us all to function. The location is central and walking distance to the local store and cafe. It is possible to walk into the main town of Oneroa if you enjoy a walk! The property is in close proximity to other houses and has no privately fenced garden. The lawn area is overlooked by the neighbours. This was not a problem for us at all during our stay but others may prefer more privacy. We will definitely come again. The owner was easy to deal with and the house immaculate! Happy Days!
