Waihora Homestead dates from 1918 and is 15 minutes south of Martinborough. Surrounded by an established rose filled garden and tennis court. Five generous bedrooms, large farm house kitchen and reception areas, wrap around veranda and BBQ area.
Waihora has the space, rustic charm, privacy and country comfort to offer just what you and your group need.
We have chickens and friendly sheep on th e property and are near working farms with stock and because of this we don't allow dogs, sorry.
Dean and I are sometimes on site at the back of the property but we are discrete and you will only see us if you need assistance.

Summary: Made most welcome on arrival. Home beautiful old world charm with vases of flowers to greet us. An absolute beautiful garden with the fragrance of flowers drifting through the doors of the bedrooms. A well equiped home and loved the Dr Who themed shower. The awesome art work a treasure. A fantastic stay

Summary: Philippa was a perfect host. She shared her family home full of history and her garden full of fresh produce. The rooms had elegant proportions, decor, and space. We liked that all 9 of us could sit around a table to eat. The only bit that made us sweat was the location being advertised as Pirionoa and not receiving the precise address until a couple of days before. We planned to bike 10km for a meal at the local pub but were late because the journey was 17km. Maybe you could tweak the location on the property description. Thanks for the stay we loved it.

Summary: This home is a great place to get away from it all. Surrounded by lots of mature trees it is very peaceful and has a lovely rustic appeal. Plenty of room for everyone in the big bedrooms and living areas, and the verandah with its outdoor furniture is a lovely place to sit and look out to the Tararuas, enjoying the evening sun. Beds all super comfy with good quality linen. Host very helpful and quick to respond to questions. Thank you Phillipa for a lovely stay.
