An easy stroll down the rolling lawn to a fire-pit and kayak launch on the beach. The beach has pebbles close to shore and round rocks farther down, good swimming. This property has 200' of Private waterfront, facing south, with views East to West. Watch the Sun rise or set, or both! Newly completed generous sized 2 bedroom "cottage" with all amenities. Sleeping arrangements are 1 queen size bed and 1 double bed. View dining and sitting room, separate living room, and spacious bathroom with laundry. Cute kitchen! We would love to have travelers think of this as "their" cottage away from it all, and return! Walk the beach, watch the whales, bring your kayaks, or rent one from a neighbour a block away. An easy 10 minute drive to downtown amenities. Golf course 2 km, hiking close, beach walking for miles east and west. Summary: This cottage has loads of character. Tony and Kathy were welcoming hosts. The cottage was immaculately clean and thought has been put into the design of every room. We enjoyed watching whales, seals, and sea lions. The kids enjoyed playing badminton when they weren’t skipping stones. This a great base from which to explore Powell River and Lund.

Summary: DEFINITELY recommended. Wonderful, everything and more. Outstanding hosts, T and G, and so accommodating and friendly. Beautiful waterfront accommodations set in a picturesque garden setting and a stunning view of Texada Island. The cottage is well fitted out with everything we could wish for and more. This vacation getaway will be something we will always remember.

Summary: This is a great property in the beach. There is lots of space to sit at the beach, with fire rings, umbrellas for the sunny days, and chairs. We saw humpbacks, seals and sea lions from the beach every day, and one day we were lucky enough to spot orcas. Tony greeted us and showed us around the property as soon as we arrived. He was very friendly and easy to talk to, but allowed us our privacy while we were there. This was a perfect place to relax and unwind.

Summary: We had a lovely stay. Our hosts were accommodating to all our requests, informative, and pleasant to talk with. Our home was clean and comfortable. The family enjoyed paddle boarding and kayaking, swimming because of the easy access. The place was also close to town and beautiful beaches.

Summary: A beautiful place and wonderful stay! We were able to playon the beach, have a campfire and see seals, dolphins and all kinds of birds. The cottage was exactly what we were expecting and we loved it. Kathy and Tony were lovely and extremely helpful. We look forward to coming back sometime!

Summary: This is a lovely waterfront space with gracious and generous hosts. We loved staying here! Highlights included: tea and reading down by the water; morning yoga on the deck with eagles and ravens swooping overhead; afternoon paddling adventures on the many local lakes; smores and stories around the firepit at sunset. We look forward to coming back.

Summary: We had a wonderful stay at the cottage - a comfortable house, actually. Everything we needed for an easy stay. View from the deck and dining table is mesmerizing. Hosts Kathy and Tony added so much to our stay - thank you! They know and love the area and their enthusiasm and generosity helped us have a delightful visit. Highest recommendation.

Summary: The wild west coast of BC is a glorious place to spend a week. Sunray Cottage in Powell River was absolutely enchanting. Immaculate and inviting, spacious with all the amenities to cook lovely meals while watching the fall winds blow the waves and leaves across the lush grass and charming gardens. We loved our morning coffee by the picture windows facing the sea, looking for seals and otters, watching the birds dive and swoop. The rocky beach just steps away was refreshing to visit, even when the rain was pelting down - invigorating! Our hosts were available as needed. Directions and checking-in were seamless. TV, wifi, games to play, places to read and contemplate, cozy beds, a short drive to town for groceries - everything you need! We highly recommend Sunray Cottage for a solo trip, for a couple, a girls' weekend away, two couples, a family of four. We would go back anytime and hope to do so again!
