Stay In The Heart Of East Haddam!--Home Of The Historic Goodspeed Opera House and The Gelston House. Step out the door of this private 2 bdrm/1 bath apartment and you are on the main street of East Haddam right on the Connecticut River and a stone's-throw from Goodspeed Opera House. Walk to everything. Step back in time as you soak in the colonial vibe. Truly breath-taking!
There are two bedrooms each with a king sized beds. A sofa in the living room area can comfortably fit one adult or 2 smaller children. Sofa is not a pull-out queen but rather the back flattens to about the size of a double bed. The bathroom is light and bright with marble floors and a marble shower. No bathtub. Hairdryer is provided in the bathroom cabinet. There is a nice-sized galley kitchen with frige, stove, toaster and microwave. There is Keurig and complimentary coffee. The combined dining and living area is a wonderful gathering space for socializing. Both bedrooms are large with closets for hanging clothes. For extra convenience there is a laundry area with washer and dryer! Step outside to your off-street parking lot and walk up the driveway. You are steps away from Goodspeed Opera House. In addition, the apartment faces East so on a sunny day you will wake up to plenty of sun pouring into the apartment!
The apartment has a lockbox with a key for entry. A code to the lockbox will be made in a message the day before arrival.
Extra linens, blankets and pillows are available on the shelves in the bedroom closets. Extra towels will be in the bathroom cabinet next to the sink.

Summary: We stayed here to attend a wedding at the nearby River House and it was perfect. We were super close to the venue, the place was cozy but large enough to be comfortable and was clean. We cooked dinner and found everything we needed in the kitchen. We even walked to the Gelston House for a nightcap on their back deck. It was a great location and nice stay.

Summary: Spotless and comfortable accommodations set right in the center of historic and picturesque East Haddam, CT. The young couple who kept the driveway, walks, and parking area free of snow and ice were especially appreciated. It was warm and cozy. Very satisfying and delightful stay. Thank you!

Summary: It was hard to find. The fact that there is little to no connectivity in the area did not help matters Spacious, very clean and a quiet. Would highly recommend

Summary: My daughter, grandson, and I stayed here so that we could enjoy a show at The Goodspeed Opera house. We could not have asked for a nicer experience. Communication with the owner was easy and pleasant. The rooms were immaculate and extremely comfortable with added niceties like tea and travel size soaps. We are so happy that we booked this stay and would gladly do so again.

Summary: Positives: Good condition, clean, comfortable, as advertised, well appointed. Walkable to Goodspeed Opera House (Saw a great show!). Close to several state parks. Negatives were very few: Water pressure in bathroom sink was low and took a long time to warm up, but shower was great. Could use a hook or two on bathroom wall for hanging clothes.
