It has a full kitchen with new appliances, ….stove/oven, refrigerator, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, dishes, pots/pans, central Heat ….and WiFi with cable TV. This cabin also features a nice deck with a barbecue gas grill. Just behind the cabin you can start hiking and exploring miles of trails in the Yellow River Forest. Relax in the cozy living room with the woodburning stove or enjoy a fire on the wood burning stove.

Summary: We really enjoyed our stay at Walnut Ridge. The cabin is beautiful, clean, and super cozy when the wood stove is on. It was too cold to get in the hot tub, but we did get out for a nice hike across the road. Beautiful state woods with a small pond and lots of trails.

Summary: Cute little remote cabin! I think property manager lives on site a ways up along with 2 nearby cabins. Hot tub was great but jets/blower stopped working after an hour. Not sure if that’s a setting or an issue. Pans / utensils included - bring own sheets / blankets / towels / firewood. Cute little place!

Summary: Pros: Remote and quiet. Hot tub was awesome. Lots of hot water and beds were comfortable. Kitchen utensils were adequate. Host responded timely to an issue with door lock. Cons: Know it is located over 4 miles off a paved road and you will need to wash your car. Loft queen bed has no outlets… bring a flashlight. Shower stall is small. Bad time of year for flys. The cabin could use a good cleaning… the table and coffee table were so sticky paper stuck to them.

Summary: The cabin was peaceful. We were looking to get away and was great. Just a few observations, I think if you replace the seal on the front that might help with mice problems. There are holes on the front porch need covered for bats. And there were ants. But still a nice place to stay

Summary: The Cabin was nice and relatively clean - our biggest issue was the incorrect listing of a King bed that turned out to be a queen, and no linens were available, which would have been nice to know before our trip. We did also have a few critters (bats, mice, and wasps) hanging around the front door, which is obviously typical of a cabin but there was a huge crack under the front door, as well, that we had to stuff to keep them out.

Summary: My husband and I stayed for a getaway with our 2 dogs. This was perfect. We loved hiking the trails through the yellow river forest, located a little ways behind the cabin. The owner was very helpful when I reached out to get clarification on how to find them. We loved being able to find something to watch on TV in the evenings. The hot tub would have been amazing if it hadn't been so hot and muggy during our stay, but its that time of year. The owner did communicate promptly that there was some work being done to extend the deck around the hot tub. It didn't interfere with our stay at all. The only thing I would suggest is to update the listing. The rooms available part says the master room is a king, but it does state it is a queen in the written description. I also think it would be helpful to list in the written description that you need to bring your own sheets and linens. Overall it was great.

Summary: Our group consisted of my husband & I and our oldest daughter, son-in-law, and a 15 & 8 yr old children. We all love being out in nature. This place gave us that and privacy. We spent a lot of our time out on the covered decks listening to the birds. We're already talking about booking another stay here!
