Enjoy the best of WV mountain fun in Snowshoe Resort. Free private on call shuttle service exclusive to North Westridge homes. Bright, airy floor plan with cozy wood burning fireplace, vaulted ceilings and stunning sunsets. Great room features well-appointed kitchen , dining room area with spectacular layered mountain views, and large sitting area with queen sleeper sofa, comfortable seating and huge picture windows. HD televisions with cable in family room and each bedroom. Super fast wi-fi (fiber optic). Luxury mattresses will ensure restful sleep after an exciting day of adventure. Main level spacious master king bedroom and queen guest room share full bathroom. Upstairs, two queen beds enjoy bonus reading area which can also be set up with a pack-and-play (high chair also available) and another full bathroom. All bedrooms offer private, wooded views for glimpsing deer and other wildlife. Other features include 2 DVD players, free local and long distance phone service. Large deck, fire pit and Weber gas grill.

Great, picturesque setting to give you plenty of space, but convenient to all the adventure. Our home sits on an acre, with empty one acre lots on either side of it so you really do get the feeling of privacy.

Summary: For our second year staying at Mattie and David's place, we were happy to know what to expect. One of the first nights, we saw a barred owl up close (he swiveled his head all the way around, such a funny fellow) and managed a photo. We enjoyed the lovely vistas after a full day of skiing, and it was a treasure to be able to build a roaring fire to warm our frosty toes. This home has everything a family or extended family could want. It was clean and close to slopes (a shuttle stops right at the bottom of the driveway) though I will note it does have a long staircase to the front door (11 steps, then 12 steps, but there are hand rails all the way) and a stair to get to the upstairs bedroom. The beds are exceptionally soft and comfortable, a boon for sore muscles after a day of skiing. The kitchen has everything we needed to prepare all our meals. We enjoyed this place so much we're already planning our next visit. Don't miss out.

Summary: We liked the convenience to the village but also excellent views of the sunsets, etc. The place was comfortable but could use some updating (eg it’s hard to open the dishwasher since it’s installed too close to the stove). There were a ton of ladybugs everywhere when we stayed, assume that’s a winter issue. We also were dismayed to find out we shouldn’t have left any food (even sealed items like a loaf of bread) on the counters or table due to mice activity- we had to throw some things out. The owners were responsive when we contacted them about this issue, but we declined to have their pest control service come out during our stay. The kids liked the loft area upstairs. We ended up driving to the village during this trip, but have used the Westridge shuttle in the past.

Summary: We enjoyed our stay here so immensely that we've already signed up for next year! This property has spectacular views, a nice wood-burning fireplace, well-appointed kitchen, dining and common areas all connected in an open floor plan. The bedrooms are cozy and the beds are super-comfortable. Very convenient location to the shuttle service. Please note: switchback getting up to park near the home, and steep staircase up to front door.

Summary: Our stays at the cabin have always been a wonderful respite from Washington, DC. This one was no exception as we enjoyed the quiet and cool mountain temperatures, starry skies, hanging out on the deck, lots of down time to read, play family games, run on the ridge road, hike around Shaver Lake, etc. The cabin has a wonderfully cozy feel and is well appointed for cooking. The hosts are wonderful. We can't recommend this cabin enough!

Summary: Nice hideaway location. Unfortunately when we arrived, there was a nationally ranked motorcycle race going on. The roads were blocked so we had to wait a long time to get through. The house numbers were not easy to get, and there was a mixture of old and new numbers. Once in the house, things got better. There was a mouse in the kitchen that was our guest. There was only one hand towel in each bathroom for a three day stay for five people. Lots of discarded patio chairs under the patio, it could use a good clean up. Other than these points, we enjoyed our stay.

Summary: The view was beautiful as promised and it was very well equipped. Me, my husband, our dog Zoey, and a cousin and his wife made the trip. It was a wonderful birthday trip and plenty of room for four adults and our dog. Our hosts were readily available if any issues arose. I really appreciate them welcoming dogs into their home!
