Positive: Excellent comfortable accommodation with balcony overlooking Tung Wan Beach. Short walk from the Ferry. Lots of food places to eat in or interesting snacks to buy. Good seafood restaurants overlooking the harbour. Lots of walking trails around the island. Frequent Ferries to other islands and only 35 min into Central Pier Hong Kong.

Negative: Clearly stated that Chinese restaurant on site. This was not true. Great disappointment. Final ascent to hotel steep followed by drop down into Hotel. If only luggage for couple of days no problem but difficult if moving 25-30Kg.

Summary: Relaxing stay in comfortable accommodation on an interesting island .

Positive: Good location, good views from the balcony across the beach and sea Friendly staff

Negative: Dilapidated, needs serious renovation or at least a lick of paint. Wasn't clean, the room was grubby, at least the bedding clean. Very limited breakfast, 2 choices, western or Asian. Not good value for money.

Positive: The staff were amazingly helpful. They provided extra blanket because the weather turned unexpectedly cold, the room although a little dated had everything I needed,

Negative: Breakfast although we'll presented was the same very basic fare. Some variety from hotdogs and plastic ham if you are there for more than a couple of days would be good

Positive: The locatiion was sensational over looking the beach and only a short walk from the ferry, restaurants and a number of supermarkets. Room price was great value and we got a bonus of breakfast vouchers included. Breakfast was 3 different options of eggs with 2 add ons bacon, ham, sausages, mushrooms etc plus coffee, juice, porridge, salad, sweet patato.

Negative: The bathroom was mouldy along with the outside of the windows on the balcony. The room was generally clean but very dusty around the edges of the room and all surfaces of benches side tables etc. A number of stairs to carry your luggage up or drag your bags up a very steep driveway go get to the main entrance, then you have to carry the bags down a dozen or so stairs to receception.
