Mermaid Cottage is a two story, 3,000 sq ft renovated home in Treasure Island, Florida. It sits moments from white, sandy beaches with an upstairs deck perfect for star gazing and a 360 water view. The home is ideal for family gatherings with new appliances in a gourmet kitchen with a bar, indoor and outdoor large dining tables, three seating areas and a game table. The home comfortably sleeps six. The upstairs master suite with 360 waterfront views, a library, a large walk-in closet , a queen bedroom and a large shower and tub,. Downstairs, you will find a king master suite, with a sitting area, large walk-in closet, a handicapped equipped bathroom with a shower/tub combination and access to a private fenced in deck. There is also an additional queen bedroom and ensuite bath.Mermaid Cottage is in a quiet residential neighborhood filled with people walking dogs, jogging and biking. The community offers tennis courts, a playground, and picnic areas. The home is in close proximity to both historic John's Pass Village and downtown Treasure island for your shopping and fine dining delight. Your stay also comes with a pass for free beach parking at many of our world famous beaches. Treasure Island is about 30 minutes from downtown St. Petersburg which offers museums, spring training baseball and more fine dining.

Summary: Loved the layout of the kitchen, dining and great rooms for our 3 families. The grounds need attention. Rear deck needs to be replaced and the entrance and driveway needs improvement. Location was only a 20 min walk to the beach and a 25min walk to Johns Pass.

Summary: We had an overall very good experience. Plenty of room for us and our 2 sons with their girlfriends. Very nice house with a great location close to John's Pass and waterfront access to the ICW. Communication with Gina was excellent. Only wish we had been made aware of the separate apartment.

Summary: We stayed there for 2 weeks, 3 couples and a dog, and we loved the house! Full of colorful and whimsical art, very spacious with many places to lounge indoors and outside, with a beautiful view! The kitchen was very well stocked— included basics for cooking like spices and oil, some coffee, and there was a bottle of wine and a gift basket of snacks! Lots of dishes, silverware, pots and pans so great if you plan to use the kitchen. The location is a quick drive or bike ride to lots of things to do, see, eat, and drink. The neighborhood is filled with beautiful, unusual houses and we did a lot of walking. There is a public park with tennis and pickleball courts as well. The hosts were fabulous, friendly and flexible, and very quick to respond to any of our questions. Couldn’t ask for better hosts!

Summary: Lovely home with everything you need. Very comfortable, warm and inviting, adorned with art work, library and so much more. Very quiet, peaceful setting including a deck out back on a canal.with beautiful water views.. Canal, full of fish & birds of all kinds. Moments away from the Treasure Island Beach, Sunset Beach and several more beautiful beaches. Moment to shopping at John's Pass, where you can enjoy great restaurants, parasailing, fishing trips, jet ski, dolphin sight seeing trips and more. The Perfect Get-Away where beautiful memories are made.

Summary: Mermaid Cottage is an excellent retreat. The home and location are both beautiful! My husband and I are doing some remodeling and needed to find a home away from home. We found a Treasure Island Paradise! From the day we started to the day we left, we felt right at home. We walked into a clean and very spacious house. The kitchen is large and perfect for cooking meals. We fell in love with the backyard. It's peaceful, and at night, we sat outside and listened to the water. The house is stocked well with towels, cookware, blender, shakers, and everything we needed. The neighborhood is relaxed and friendly. There are plenty of great bars, restaurants, and live music nearby. If that's not your scene and you prefer to relax at the house, that alone is worth the stay. Let's not forget the beach. We have some of the most beautiful beaches in the world here, so it was a relief to find this paradise we could quickly get to the beach. The owner, Gina, is very kind. She truly cares about you having a wonderful stay. She responded whenever we had a question. She even purchased two beach cruisers right before our visit so we'd be able to bike around the neighborhood and to the local hangouts. We have booked several rentals, mainly AirBnBs, and it's been a mix. We have had people who aren't involved at all; you figure it all out. We have had the overbearing who have their friends wash their cars in the driveway, and we have had the people who base it on what's best for us. We appreciate someone like Gina, whose primary concern is our enjoyment and is involved as we need or want her to be. I did ask her a couple of personal questions about an item in her home, and it ended up being an excellent dialogue back and forth. She is an impressive woman, and we are so happy we stayed in her home and got to know her a little bit. Do not miss out on this vacation home!!
