Summary: This was the perfect location for exploring the southern Oregon coast and Northern California. The view was amazing! Property was clean, comfortable, and well maintained.

Summary: This is a lovely home, convenient to Brookings and to the surrounding area, although it was hard to leave the incredible view from the main living area. There is even a trail close by that leads right down to a spectacular beach! It is immaculately clean with all the comforts of a home away from home. We especially appreciated the no-step access into and throughout the home. Our hosts were readily available although we didn't require anything. The beds were very comfortable and linens superior quality. We would highly recommend and give it a 5++ review.

Summary: Our first impression on entering the unit was delight. Lots of natural light coming through large windows facing a postcard seascape. My wife and I had the 2nd bedroom, with a vast, comfy king-size bed, wide closet, two night stands. No other storage in our room, but the closet met our needs. Can't comment on the master BR, but it seemed a little bigger, and had an en suite bathroom (ours was down the short hall). Kitchen, dining area, ocean-view nook, and living room (with a wall-mounted TV opposite an L-shaped sofa) in an open floor plan gives an open, airy feel to the place, and the little patio outside the sliding door was a nice place to sit in the mornings. The view from the living room/kitchen area is classic. The coast stretches away for a mile or two, sandy beach on the left, rock-studded ocean to the right, and gentle surf foaming onto the shore between. And, there are a couple of different walking routes down to the beach from the condo, both of which are quite manageable unless you have limited mobility. It was well worth the 15 minutes to get down to the beach, where you find wide, clean sandy areas, tide pools, and Rainbow Rock. From the roadside overlook, you might wonder where this "rainbow" rock is, but you'll figure it out when you get down there. A pretty natural formation among many, but best explored during low tide (you can find tide info easily online). We were there for 5 nights and cooked our own meals in the unit 4 of those nights, which was as easy as it can be in a kitchen equipped for visitors. No problem busting out an epic lasagna and the panini iron we used on our last day was fun. I wish I'd discovered it sooner! Great for making sandwiches to take with you on local adventures. I don't think Brookings is a foodie destination. We didn't find anything worth recommending in town, but then, we didn't try many places. One exception was in the town of Gold Beach, at the Gold Beach Coffee Books and Art store, on the main drag. We were told their house-made clam chowder was worth trying, which was true. Worth the 28-mile drive from Brookings, with or without the chowder. The coastal trail from Brookings northward is great, with numerous side trails down to the beaches below. Lastly, I'll mention that the unit is about 150 ft away from 101, but close enough that can hear some traffic noise when the windows are open. Not very loud, but you hear it some from the unit.

Summary: A ++++ for cleanliness. Amazing views of Rainbow Rock and coast. For my parents’ 50th wedding anniversary, we were touring the Oregon & California coasts, staying in resort hotels and this VRBO. By far, we loved staying at this condo over the hotels! Parking is steps away from the condo, there’s a path down to the beach, and the views are incredible! The condo is immaculate, and well furnished. The baths feel like a private spa. This place exceeded our expectations!
