We're excited for you to come discover our favorite getaway and town of Colonial Beach, and this unique river beach cottage with a private pier--only 90 minutes from DC/Northern Virginia!
- Enjoy a blissful sunrise overlooking the river from the comfort of the enclosed front porch ! The front sunroom offers great space for gathering, games, dining or just enjoying the panoramic views of The Potomac River!
- Take a quiet moment and listen to the sound of the lapping waves and
maybe do some yoga on the pier to start your day.
- Go fishing off the pier and do some birdwatching--you'll see ospreys,
eagles and other birds roam throughout this National Bird Sanctuary.
- Prepare a meal in your large fully-stocked eat-in gourmet kitchen with
updated appliances, Margarita machine, 2 coffee pot styles and ample cooking supplies to make your stay comfortable. Outdoor cooking made easy.... Enjoy
grilling outback on the patio area and relax by the Firepit.
- Rent a bike or golf cart or take a short walk to the sandy beaches of

We offer accommodations up to 8 guests, with flexibility for additional guests (please
reach out with any requests): The Bonus room offers 2 twin beds for extra guest area or a place to allow the kids to nap while you enjoy your views on the front porch!

Upper level offers water front view bedroom, Queen Bed, with spacious bathroom , large vanity and new tile walk in shower.
Lower level offers Bedroom with Double Bed, main floor bathroom with tub shower combo . Linens provided and extra linens for beds provided for your comfort.
The Bunk house is a private area that offers the 3rd Bedroom with full bath and shower. The bunk house offers private entrance, Bunk beds with double on top and bottom, Heating is Electric and AC is Window Unit that accommodates the space nicely, with sitting area for 2, microwave, coffee area and TV.

Summary: Beautiful views of the river. Enjoyed the sunrise each day from the front porch/room. Easy walking distance to the pier and boardwalk, to several restaurants, and over to the bay side. Having the private pier right there was nice for some fishing. Love that we could have our doggies with us too!

Summary: This is a great spot to rest relax and enjoy y a beautiful sunrise on the dock. the up stairs bed room has a tight set of stairs but there is a ground floor option as well as a bunk house out back. Everything was clean and homey. We didn't get to use the fire pit but it was very nice as well. Water front and close to everything down town you could want to do. Wouold absolutely stay again

Summary: The only negatives were the ants in the sink and dishwasher…this I am sure will be remedied. There are many faux flower arrangements in the house. I prefer blank surfaces so that guests have a place to put their items. Great location. Great porch. The bunk house as not used by us but looked very nice. I would rent this property again.

Summary: The area of Colonial Beach is such a eccentric little beachy town. The Relax and Relaunch Cottage was so adorable and had plenty of room for our large family. The neighbors are so sweet and we enjoyed them. Highly recommend this cottage!

Summary: We enjoyed our stay at the home. It is apparent that the homeowners have put some time and effort into updating the home and ensuring there is plenty of options for anyone who stays there. Would likely have given the home 5 stars but we had some things that really irked us about the management company. We were excited to use many of the amenities that were at the home. However, when we checked in we were presented with a list of things that we needed to take care of while at the home. To list a few examples, we were told that we needed to wash and return any dishes to where we got them after we used them. This, to us, was unacceptable for a few reasons. One, we did not feel comfortable as to how well the dishes in the cabinets had actually been washed by previous renters. Two, when paying a relatively high rate to stay in a home, and a cleaning fee on top of that, we felt that the cleaning group should have been more than capable of running the dishes through the dishwasher to ensure they were properly cleaned while organizing the rest of the house. In addition, the instructions suggested that we were to strip the bedding off of all of the beds and place it in a specific area before checking out. None of have ever stayed anywhere where we were expected to remove bedding from beds after paying rent to stay there. There was a nice fire pit, a barbecue, a margarita machine and a few other things that we would not based on similar restrictions.

Summary: Great place to relax and enjoy a beautiful view of the river. Town was very busy with lots of fun activities due to Memorial Day Weekend. Would highly recommend a stay.

Summary: Beautiful view, nicely decorated, cute retro appliances in kitchen. Some nice restaurants, but not many; some are closed on Monday and Tuesday so plan ahead. We really enjoyed dinner at oom boon Thai restaurant. Our host Cindy, was very responsive to our inquiries and even gave us a bottle of wine to celebrate our anniversary . Ted & Glenna
