This home is only available for rental to families. It is a treasured family home located on eight acres of wooded property wandering up to a spectacular 300 feet of sandy beach on Arnica Bay. This is our second home and has been in the family for more than 40+ years. We are pleased to share it with other families. Families will enjoy quiet quality time spotting deer, dolphins, herons, pelicans, ospreys and bald eagles that live all around the property. Overhanging live oaks provide shade for chilling out on the beach. The 300 ft private beach has a clean sandy bottom with a gradual slope, perfect for swimmers of all ages. A large private dock provides the perfect location for boats (8 ft water) fishing, setting crab traps, tossing cast nets or just catching the breeze or enjoying magnificent sunsets.

In 2023 we added a deck that runs the length of the house and provides a spectacular place for outside meals and lounging on new deck chairs. The deck also provides increased covered area under the deck for extra shade areas to play yard games like cornhole and yard darts.
The house sleeps 10. Three separate bedrooms. One twin bed room, one queen bedroom, one bedroom with two double beds, one nook with two twin beds (trundle) and 1 futon on the porch. There are 3 full size bathrooms one half bath and one outside shower.
The house has a fully equipped kitchen with new appliances, dishes, cookware. The inside living room and dining room flow together into one main room, but the main living occurs on the screened in porch that has spacious living and dining areas and spectacular views of the bay.
The ground floor has the washer and dryer, a second stove for cooking all the delicious crabs you might catch and a ton of outside games/toys: Bocce ball, croquet, horseshoes, bag toss, badminton, beach toys, cast nets, crab traps, one paddle board, two kayaks and one loved canoe. There is also a ground floor covered patio with sitting area, large dining table and grill.
Location and nearby attractions: The house is on Arnica Bay, just a few minutes to Perdido Pass Bridge and the Gulf of Mexico. Josephine boat launch is less than a mile down the road. Across the water from the launch is Pirates’ Cove home of the “Cheeseburger in Paradise”, live music on the weekends, dolphin watch cruises and sail boat excursions. Nearby marinas include: Orange Beach Marina, Sportsman’s Marina and Barber Marina.
Deep sea and sailboat charters are readily available. The house is very close to the Inter-coastal waterway which makes boat access to dining locations like The Warf, Tacky Jacks and Lulus a breeze. Other nearby attractions within 30 minutes: OWA Amusement Park, Tanger Outlet Center/Foley. Fresh fruit, vegetable stands, farmsteads cheese factory and a winery are all less than 20 minutes away.
Gulf Shores and Pensacola are both about 35 minutes away and Mobile is an hour’s drive.
Summer holidays (memorial day, 4th of July and Labor day, the minimum rental is one week.

Summary: Our stay at this property was absolutely wonderful! From the moment we arrived, we felt right at home. As we were unloading, we were pleasantly surprised by a friendly golden retriever that came to greet us—later we found out it was the neighbor's dog, which added a fun and welcoming touch to our stay. One of the neighbors even came by to chat with us, and he was incredibly friendly, which made us feel even more comfortable. The neighborhood was peaceful and quiet, perfect for a relaxing getaway. The host went above and beyond by reaching out via text to make sure we had everything we needed and were enjoying our time. Their thoughtfulness and attention to detail truly enhanced our experience without ever interrupting our privacy. One of the highlights was taking out the provided canoes on the private beach. The kids also enjoyed playing with the beach toys provided for the sand, making for a relaxing, fun-filled day by the water. We also made unforgettable memories watching the breathtaking sunrise and sunset. We would indefinitely book this place again and highly recommend it for anyone looking for a serene and memorable stay!

Summary: Great, quiet location on the water! We brought our pontoon and enjoyed it every day. The property is charming and has a flavor of grandparents cabin from the past :) I would add couple TVs in bedrooms, but by the end of each day we were so tired, wouldn’t watch it anyway … overall - fantastic!

Summary: Our family had a nice stay but have a few suggestions. Would look at adding a path from outside shower to the deck stairs to help reduce tracking sand up the stairs and into the house. Would look at adding better pans in kitchen to cook with. Would replace the lazy boy chair in tv area. It didn't smell very good.

Summary: My husband, children and I had the most relaxing Spring break here at this beautiful property with its own private beach! It was just close enough to all the activities Gulf Shores has to offer and then the most relaxing retreat after! Plenty to do, fish, catch crabs, kayak and watch the dolphins play were among our favorites!!

Summary: Just the best property to get away with your besties. The property was clean and very well maintained for guests. The views of the beach and bay were so breathtaking that we all hated to leave and go back to the everyday grind. The house is within 20 minutes to shopping and restaurants as well as other beach areas. If you visit be sure to try Pirates Cove as it is a local favorite suggested by the host. The hostess was so very kind and available should there have been any requests.

Summary: Point of view is a great rental with an awesome view of the bay and private beach. Our 5 year old grandson loved playing in the water and on the beach, and seeing dolphins daily. The house is well stocked and very comfortable. The owner was very responsive to questions.
