Conveniently located just two-and-a-half miles from popular Maya Beach and 11 miles from Placencia Village, where you can shop for essentials and unique souvenirs, this home is also near public beaches, a variety of restaurants, and food markets. Next door lies Placencia Resort with a restaurant, a huge pool, a casino, and beach access. And you'll have access to a lovely garden with a variety of tropical vegetation, as well as an inviting hammock.
Every step of the construction of this home was painstakingly organized by the owners, with a design proven to withstand Hurricane Iris. Dreaming of a vacation home with beach chairs, margaritas, and warm waters lapping at their feet, the owners want to share their happy experiences at Salty Hawg with you. With backgrounds in engineering, architecture, interior design, and construction management, the owners have poured their hearts and souls into this home.
Bright and refreshing with polished wood floors, wicker furniture, and tropical colors, this home exudes plenty of island charm. Pour a fresh cup of lemonade and peer out over the ocean bay from oversized picture windows, or head just beyond the living area's French doors to get a better view outside. Here you'll find an outdoor dining set on a large deck. Shaded at certain times of the day, the outdoor table is perfect for al fresco dining accompanied by birdsongs and lush palm tree views.
Speaking of dining, you'll find all the necessary appliances and cooking accessories needed for whipping up homemade breakfast, lunch, and dinner in the open concept kitchen back inside. Layout ingredients on ample countertops and easily make your favorite beverages with the blender or coffeemaker. Gather around the indoor two-seat table and nearby wicker chairs for group meals indoors.
Afterward, why not get some bonding time in by playing a thrilling board game together? Summary: The accommodations were great, this is an ideal spot for multiple couples or a family. The property manager and vacation concierge were quick to respond and helpful. One recommendation I would make to future guests is to ensure that you've rented a car because this location is a 10 minute drive from the nearest convenience store.
