We purchased our home in September 2016 because of the spectacular views (see pictures) and location. The home is on a quiet, tropical cul-de-sac and is only twelve miles by car to Key West. For Boaters there is easy access to both the ocean and the Gulf of Mexico where you can explore Snipes Point and Marvin Cay sandbars. Our home features new tropical style furniture, a modern well stocked kitchen, new washer/dryer combo, 80" smart TV in the living room, 40" smart TV in the master bedroom, a new second floor screened in porch with an open section as well to enjoy the view of Lower Sugarloaf Bay, high speed wi-fi, central A/C, and ceiling fans. The master bedroom offers a King size bed, while one guest bedroom offers a Queen size bed, and the other guest bedroom has two twin sized beds. In addition the couch in the living room offers a Queen sized foldout bed. Did we mention the spectacular views from the kitchen, living room, and two of the three bedrooms? Downstairs in the storage room there are a pair of two person kayaks, two paddleboards and five bicycles for exploring the area by land or sea. There is also a second full sized refrigerator for extra groceries or drinks. Out in the back yard there is a private beach which is the perfect spot to launch the kayaks and paddleboards to explore the Bay. Next to the beach is a twenty-four foot dock with water for washing down your boat and cleaning your catch. The hot tub is located under a pergola with a nice view of the bay. Our family has vacationed up and down the Florida Keys for the last nine years before we purchased our home and have found Bay Drive to be the best in chain of islands because of the slower pace of life, friendly locals, and abundance of activities and dining for people of all tastes.

Summary: Paradise found!! We loved our stay in this peaceful beautiful home! From the comfy beds, to the relaxing hot tub, beautiful morning views, and perfectly stocked home. The owners thought of everything. We had kayaks, bikes and more for our personal use. Grilling on the 2nd floor open aired porch became our nightly kitchen. The location couldn't be any better ! Close enough to everything, even church. Baby's coffee(5minute walk) became our favorite morning hang out. It felt like a home away from home. Spectacular Direct bay views. Summary: The home at 83 Bay Drive is perfect if you have the same needs as my wife and myself. First we need easy access to the water since we kayak extensively and at this home you can literally walk down a short sandy beach on the property and be in the water. Launching our Klepper double kayak has never been easier. Kayaks and a paddleboard are here if you do not travel with these water toys. Second we need a screen porch because the keys are not mosquitoe free especially in the early morning before sun rise and in the evening at dusk. The best part of the screen porch, you can completely use it while in the living room or kitchen or master bedroom. The glass walls are doors that slide completely open. Yes the walls are movable to the screened porch. Third is as the realtors always say, Location, location, location. Since we are avid kayakers and snorklers, being on salt water not total congested with other kayakers, snorklers and motorized boats, is heaven. Well, for us heaven is right past the sandy beach and in the water right off the house. Due to the relatively shallow water depth in 90% of the water you can see from the porch, there is relatively little boat traffic. Some days we see no one but ourselves. An occasional jet ski might zoom by. A motor boat might meander up the channel twice a day. If you look on a nautical chart of the area, you'll understand immediately why it is so peaceful here. Fourth the interior of the house is a home. By that I mean you can instantly tell that the owners have created a home they rent. Everything you might want in your home at the shore is there. This is not a "rental home" but a home that is rented. We felt perfectly at ease and comfortable with everything in the home within minutes of being there. And since both of us went to college in the Philadelphia area way back in the late sixties, just up the street on Route 1 are genuine Philly cheese steak sandwiches for the asking. Baypoint Market is a must. If you do not understand the Philly cheese steak need, go get one. Or two, one for now and then one for breakfast. How much did we enjoy this home? We rented it again during the first week there for the following year. Already thinking about renting it again for two years out from today.

Summary: Our family of 6 thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this island getaway. We have stayed at other houses in the area but this property was the best by far. The kids loved the private beach out back and we very much enjoyed watching the sunrise from the dock. The property is well maintained and the owners were very welcoming. We definitely will be returning.

Summary: We have had the pleasure of staying at Ken and Michele's home in the Saddlebunch Keys Bay Point community for the last three winters. We plan to continue to winter here as long as this wonderful place is available to us. This elevated home is on the waterfront with a panoramic view of the water that can be enjoyed from your own wooden dock, sandy beach, hot tub, or fully screened second-floor balcony. All of these places also make for perfect star gazing and viewing morning sunrises. But, best of all, you have a lot of privacy in the backyard. The dock is screened by mangroves and watching the sunrise while having a morning coffee is just wonderful. You will appreciate the comfortable outdoor seating and tables that allow you to relax under the shade of the house. Play a game of beanbag, read, or just relax. If you prefer the sunny backyard beach you can set up your chair under a sun umbrella. When you are ready, walk into the ocean for a dip. When you want to get active, you will find a selection of sports equipment. Kayaks and paddleboards are provided and easily launched from the sandy slope to the water at one end of the backyard beach. And don't forget fishing from the dock or kayak. Clean you catch on the dock table, equipped with water and electricity. Or you can take one of the several provided bikes for a ride. The quiet neighborhood is great for a walk. At the end of the street is a large park with tennis, basketball, and volleyball courts. On the inside, the home is nicely decorated. The large living room window is nearly wall-to-wall and opens completely to give you the feeling of being outdoors. Remote control shades allow you to adjust the amount of sun you get during the early morning hours. The master bedroom is spacious with a king size bed, plenty of drawers, walk-in closet & ensuite bathroom & shower. The other two bedrooms and another full bath are on the opposite side of the house. A pocket door affords guests complete privacy. We enjoyed "movie nights" on the large flat screen TV. The provided WIFI is fast and reliable. The large (6 seat) dining table is great for playing cards or a board games. The kitchen is fully equipped. The washer/dryer combo is convenient. The homeowners, Ken and Michele, are wonderful hosts. You will be welcomed as their guest in their well-maintained home and any questions or concerns you have will be quickly addressed. We have completely enjoyed our time at this place of beauty and believe you will too.

Summary: From the moment you arrive at the property you are taken in by the expansive bay views . The property even has its own private beach ! Can't tell you enough about how important it is to have an owner who knows what vacationers need . We had kayaks and bikes at our disposal as well as an extra fridge downstairs to keep our fresh catches in . By the way , some of the best fishing is from your beach ! The inside of the house has new everything !! Screened in porch as well as an open sun deck gives you the option of being shaded or tanning . I have been coming here now ( Bay Point) for 4 years and by far this has been the most desirable property . By the way if you like good restaurants and entertainment you don't have to drive the 12 miles to Key West , lots of local action with excellent food and entertainment . Baby's coffee (my favorite) is a 5 minute walk ! If you have a boat and want to hit the best sand bar parties in key west your only 20 minutes away by boat . Your gonna love these owners , Ken & Michelle are professional operators !
