Waterfront Jewel is a large modern 3/4 bedroom house with its own boat ramp and private beach. Welcome to North Arm Cove on Port Stephens.
North Arm Cove is a wonderful and unique location where you feel relaxed the minute you arrive.
Just 6 minutes from the Pacific Highway and less than 2 hrs drive from Sydney. All the action of nearby Nelson Bay, Tea Gardens, Hawks Nest. Watersports, boating, surf beaches, Hunter Valley wineries and so much more is all nearby whilst you are surrounded by tranquility and beauty at home.
From the moment you arrive you will be swept away with the breathless waterfront views. Clever layout allows guests to join together or find privacy and seclusion as required. The gently sloping rear garden has its own private beach with exquisite views of Port Stephens from “The Cove” to Soldiers Point. Watch the diverse wildlife including birds, dolphins and pelicans, whilst listening to the waves lapping the shore. Take one of the 4 kayaks for an early morning paddle. Lifejackets for adults are provided. Go fishing or swim from the beach. Hammocks are not provided but you are welcome to bring your own and hang it between the trees.
Known as the protected side of North Arm Cove, The house is bright and breezy with areas of both shade and light. Watching the moon rise over the water is a particular favourite. Waterfront Jewel will not disappoint as there is something for everyone.
The Property:
Single level modern brick house, laundry, walk-in pantry, BBQ, patio, free wifi, outdoor and indoor dining areas, large front garden with parking for several vehicles.
Small boat ramp, Fire pit in winter. ( see restrictions)
2 bathrooms:
The bathrooms are spacious and well stocked with premium linens, towels, hand soap and a few travel toiletries incase you forget something. The ensuite is brand new 2022
Bedrooms:
3 private queen size bedrooms plus a large family room with a queen size sofa bed.
Living/Dining space:
The lounge room is a super comfy space featuring 2 large leather lounges and swivel reclining chair. A modern wood burner fireplace, a large TV with Foxtel, Chromecast, plenty of Books, CD/DVD player, cozy rugs for chilly nights. An extensive games cupboard, includes lots of old favorites, play chess or monopoly, battleships, puzzles plus lots more. The view from this area is amazing through full height glass doors and windows through to the waterfront. The patio and outdoor eating space has two table settings.
The family room is a large open plan tv space with 2 additional sofas, tv, dvd, coffee table plus a queen size sofa bed. Incleded in the room is a second dining option with office desk, and large book selsction.
The dining space seats 8 with table linen, glasses, serving platters, and all with the amazing views. The dining space flows through to the kitchen and outside BBQ space where there is a weber familyQ gas BBQ new 2022.
Kitchen/Laundry
Kitchen is large and functional with a significant pantry and refrigeration, The inventory list is extensive, wake up to the smell of freshly baked bread from the bread maker and filter coffee brewing. The kitchen functions very well and is well stocked with basic pantry items incl tea, coffee, salt and pepper, basic herbs and spices, cling wrap, tin foil, cooking oil, garbage bags, washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets etc. If anything runs out during your stay you will need to restock for yourself.
Heating/Cooling
The house has multiple heating and cooling options. The house design allows for through breeze however reverse cycle aircon in the family room and fans in all rooms keep the inside cool on those very hot days.
A wood burning stove in the living area with all wood supplied, plus the reverse cycle aircon in the family area is more than sufficient to heat the whole house.
The 3 queen bedrooms have electric blankets and portable oil heaters. The house is a modern insulated, draft free home. Very cool in summer and warm in winter.
A portable cot and high chair is also included for those with infants.
Boat Ramp, gardens and beach:
Access for people with small children or mobility issues is easy as you can drive right to the front door.
The back garden is gently sloping and extends all the way to the beach. You can sit at the waterfront on grass or on the sandy beach. Guests with small children or mobility issues have particularly enjoyed this feature.
The boat ramp is suitable for kayaks and small boats, We have 4 kayaks with paddles and a selection of adult lifejackets for use.

Summary: The house is large and spacious and we kyaked every morning from the backyard which the 4 year old experienced for the first time Bbq was great Keep in mind no dryer Beds are really firm which we all struggled with. Lovely stay the lake is especially beautiful at night and do still most mornings

Summary: We just loved how we could enjoy the daily activities, whether it was the surf beaches or boating on Port Stephen’s then coming back to our accommodation where we all had our own space if we needed it and just a very quiet relaxing sleepy hallow of a place away from the busyness of life. Sally and Tony were very accommodating and took the time to give us some great places to take our boat. Thanks again for providing a wonderful accommodation.

Summary: Complete waterfront. House was comfortable with all the items you would expect. Overall, a peaceful location. The night sky was incredible, so many stars, which shows how clean the clean air is. The kayaks are a bonus. Sally replied promptly to our enquiries, and was very helpful. The photos as advertised do show a beach. But it is really a small strip. When there is a low tide it exposes mostly a muddy flat. But, that brings out the local wildlife (birds) looking for food. Quite interesting to watch. And at high tide the water is right up against the land, which is great when you want to go kayaking as makes it easier to launch. One of the neighbours is a public park which is great. We had an enjoyable stay away from the rat race.
