Two small bedrooms with oversized twin mattresses’ complete the second floor. The main floor is open style with dining, living and kitchen all connected, all with breathtaking views. The kitchen are full with all the top of line gears that you can host a party here or just cook meals for yourself. Full walk out basement comes with another futon that sleeps two, along with another work desk and treadmill. This idyllic location is being rented for the first time and is a short drive to Northampton, the five colleges or to the Berkshires. Enjoy all the amenities at your own risk. Summary: A last-minute cancellation at a different property left us in a pinch for Smith College’s parent’s weekend and we counted our lucky stars to find this well-appointed home. It was exactly what we needed for a three-day parents weekend stay. We loved the well-stocked kitchen, the Host’s thoughtful communications and local recommendations, the beautiful (and easy) 15-20 minute drive to Northampton/Smith, and comfortable beds. Unexpected bonus - the stunning views of sunrise over the lake and stars shining so brightly that we could see their reflection on the water! We had a fun campfire on our last night - another unexpected and fun part of a great weekend. One tip: If you rent this beautiful retreat and plan to arrive at night (which we did), know that it is a little hard to find in the dark. Our host had given us two GPS addresses to use; we found that the second one was easier for nighttime navigation. Once we found the house, we used a “dropped pin” on our Apple Maps to find it again. (It was much easier to find during the day). We hope to return again for future stays - definitely a fun wooded retreat!

Summary: We have stayed at many lake houses, from the Finger Lakes to North Carolina, and this house was the nicest, best appointed, and best stocked. From coffee to children's toys to so many ways onto the water, the graciousness of our hostess made us feel welcome (including dropping off dog treats for our pup and offering a late checkout). The lake itself is serene with no motor boats allowed, and our crew aged 4 to 17 with two adults in tow all found our peace and pleasure on the water. We never come to the same place twice, but we are tempted to bend that policy to return here again.

Summary: Such a wonderful location and stay on the lake, got to experience a couple hard thunder storms adding to the excitement, as well as tranquil mornings and evenings on the lake. Will be back.

Summary: We visited for a long weekend to celebrate my daughter’s graduation from Smith College. We had everything we needed to entertain a small group of family members. The three teens we had especially enjoyed the fire pit, making s’mores and just hanging out. Our hosts were very communicative, thoughtful, and helpful.

Summary: We stayed here for 9 days with our daughter while she was recovering from surgery. It was amazing! The home was very comfortable, clean and well-stocked (linens, pots and pans, etc.) The owners were flexible and kind. And the views of the lake were absolutely stunning. We hope to return again under better circumstances - thank you!

Summary: Waterfront Oasis is an apt description of this beautiful property. This roomy 3 bedroom, 3 bath home has a spectacular view of a private lake. The house was so well-equipped we could host a dinner party and had access to a canoe, kayaks and paddle boards. The owners live next door and addressed any questions or minor concerns immediately. We could not have selected a more perfect or setting for our vacation. We will be back!

Summary: I was fortunate to stay here in preparation for my wedding, which was the last night of my stay. The views throughout the house were breathtaking but the hospitality of the hosts was other worldly. Anna was there every day asking if we needed something or leaving some food by the door (the night of our wedding, we came home to a bottle of champagne). A wedding is a moment in your life you’ll never forget and as much as I’ll think about that day forever, I’ll also think of my wonderful stay at this home

Summary: We had UMass graduation and stayed for a long weekend with the whole family. Everything was wonderful! We had a last minute change and the host was very accommodating. Fabulous Location!!! We did kayaking daily, hiking (area suggested by host), and used the firepit. Would definitely recommend!! My doggo loved being able to run around leash free!!
