Summary: We found the house not only to be immaculately well stocked on all items but clean and inviting. There were tons of cute tiny frogs outside, a family of otters having breakfast along the shoreline one morning, & an armadillo foraging in the back of the yard one evening. Needless to say even our teenagers were in awe. Highly recommend.

Summary: This home was wonderful for a group of 8. It is a unique & fun construction with everything you would want for a friends weekend. Super open floor plan with the kitchen spilling out into the large living room, a giant loft area that the teenagers took over, a large deck with perfect elevated view of the lake, and good sized bedrooms for guests. We had a group of friends converging from different areas of the States so this area of Kentucky was a great middle area for our group. We wanted a place with easy parking, an open floorplan for us all to carry on for a couple days, and some water to float and enjoy adult beverages. This house exceeded in this. Lake Barkley is a strange lake since it's deepest spot is under 70 feet, so the lake warms up easily and does have a very green algae appearance. Some areas of the lake where the water is not moving are not great for floating or dock swimming. This home is on a large inlet right off the main channel and water is constantly flowing. We had no issue jumping in our float rings and enjoying the water each day. If you are staying at Lake Barkley, this is the place you want to book.
