1 Bedroom Cabin in Holden, E. Holden

This is a modern cottage with central heat and central air conditioning. The first bedroom has a King size bed on main floor along with a bathroom. The second sleeping area is a loft that sleeps 6 but has no partitions. ( a Queen size bed with two twin mattresses (on the floor). Then there is a 3rd petitioned off room with a king size mattress on the floor. This is a fully furnished cottage. It has a second full bathroom on the first floor ( a total of 2 bathrooms). Starlink Internet by Elon Musk has been put in for internet access for the cabin on 7/13/2021. There is a great savings if you rent this property for 28 days or more and even a greater savings in the months of October- April ! Go fishing, explore the trails, use the kayaks to fish (life jackets are in the garage). It's location is convenient to town and Acadia which is less than an hour away (to the pier at Bar Harbor not the town line of MDI). There are many activities to choose from, shopping in Bangor and great restaurants! Go to the Bagel Shop in Bangor along with Franks Bakery. It is only 7 miles or 12 minutes to Bangor. Please check out all the activities here such as: The Children's Museum, Hollywood Casino, Penobscot Theater, Concerts by the River, Horse Racing, Stephen Kings House, Thomas Standpipe, Bangor Golf Club, River Cruise. Another hidden gem is The Transportation Museum in Bangor. It is less than an hour drive to the pier in Bar Harbor otherwise called Acadia National Park where there are plenty of things to do such as: Whale watching tours, Bike trail tours, Hiking (you need to stop by the Acadia National Park and find the trails you want to hike), Drive up Mt, Cadillac, Sail on a Clipper Ship etc.. This is located on Davis/Eddington Pond and has great fishing.

Summary: Such an amazing vacation with our one-year old pup! This place is the definition of tranquility and relaxation. It has an amazing gazebo to spend your days, a fire pit with more than enough wood to spend your evenings, and comfortable inside accommodations for all the times in-between for two adults and a dog. Would definitely return!

Summary: This is our second stay at this property. Both of our stays have been very relaxing and fun. the house is neat and has everything you could need to make your stay enjoyable including a nice view of the inlet and a daily visit from a family of ducks. The property is also very private.

Summary: This cottage was absolutely perfect. Secluded and tranquil. The house had absolutely everything we needed. All we brought was our clothes, toiletries, food and K-cups for the coffee maker. The kitchen was stocked with basics like spices, flour, sugar and cooking oil. There was laundry soap and dishwasher tabs. There is a propane grill and a fire pit. Plenty of towels, linens and blankets. Satellite TV and super comfy recliners in the living room. The grocery store is about 10 -15 minutes away for anything you may need. We would definitely stay again!!

Summary: Has everything you need for a nice stay. Beautiful, quiet property. Loft wasn’t what we expected; more of what we would call an unfinished attic that is partially air-conditioned. Hosts were very pleasant and quick to respond!

Summary: We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cabin. The location on Davis Pond in perfect. It’s on a little cove so the water isnt too deep, so my 9 year old daughter could explore the area. Also, the lake was not busy so I could take her out on the lake in kayak with no worries. The cabin had everything one would need for a home away from home for a week. Everything switch is labeled, which is so nice to easily familiarize yourself with the cabin. Tracy was super responsive, we did not have any issues just some questions and updates during rhe stay. My wife is from the Bangor area, so we go back every year to visit her family. I have stayed at 10-12 locations throughout the area and this was by far the best. It is truly off “the beaten path”, although it’s only a 7 minute drive to small grocery store or 20 minutes to a Walmart superstore.
