This remarkable home is waterfront with a mountain view located just 15 minutes from North Conway. It is located on 3 wooded acres on Pea Porridge Pond with the sounds of loons calling in the background. It is quite spacious making it ideal for multi-generational vacations or for one or two family vacations. It has its own private dock with 3 kayaks and a canoe plus a swim float. It has an open layout living area/kitchen with a screened in porch, deck, and outdoor seating around the fire pit. In addition to its spacious layout, it offers all the modern conveniences including central air, two tvs, cable, internet, washer and dryer, and two car garage with direct access to the house. It is well suited for groups of kids and adults of 10 or groups of 8 adults but not for large events.
The house is located in the beautiful Mount Washington Valley with countless outdoor activities. In the summer, you can go hiking, river kayaking, rock climbing, mountain biking and more. You are about 27 minutes from Storyland and Attitash Mountain resort with its amazing zip line and alpine slide. You are also just 15 minutes from King Pine (a fun and affordable place for kids to learn to ski). In the fall, you are in the perfect location for stunning fall foliage drives and hikes. In winter, you can go downhill and cross country skiing, skating, ice climbing, snowmobiling and other have fun with other great winter activities. In the winter, once the pond is fully frozen with snow cover, you can go snowshoeing or cross country skiing right out your back door!
The house inside is professionally cleaned, well-appointed, and roomy with a first floor and a ground floor. The first floor of this home has 10 foot high ceilings, an open concept design with a large living area with 48 inch flat screen tv, wood fireplace, cozy couch (with picture window providing views of the water and mountains), dining area, and fully equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances, and breakfast bar. On the first floor you also have two bedrooms (with queen beds) on opposite sides of the house. One bedroom has an en suite bath with shower and tub and walk-in closet. The second bedroom has direct access to the screened in porch. On the first floor living area you also have a half bath off the common area and an extended mudroom for jackets, shoes, and sports equipment.
On the ground floor below, you have an entertainment area designed with family fun in mind including a TV with a wii game system, ping pong table, and card table and chairs for playing cards and board games. On this ground floor, you will also find a full bathroom and a long bunk room. This room has two distinct sleeping areas (with separate entrances) with a twin over full bed in each area. The bunk room can be one long bedroom or two different bedrooms separated by a wood door and closet area.
The home is surrounded by trees with the sounds of loons, frogs, in the background. Lastly, there are 6 Adirondack chairs at the back of the house where you can look out at the swim area and the mountains beyond.
As an added bonus, in addition to being able to reach us with any questions or concerns about the house, we have family living in the house next door in case the guests are in need of immediate assistance.

Summary: The house is very well located with private access to Pea Porridge Pond that has crystal clear water in which to swim. Kayaks and a canoe are available to explore the pond and the view from the house of the lake and mountains is just perfect. The house is super well equipped and very comfortable. There are a lot of games and amenities for all ages. Don't bother to bring your books; the house has one of the best literary collections that we have seen in a rental. The host was extremely responsive although the house instructions and everything else was well described and didn't result in our needed anything. It was simply wonderful and we cannot wait to return.

Summary: The house and grounds were clean and well maintained. The views were spectacular. The kayaks and canoe were in great shape easy to access and put in the lake. All in all a great place for a group of friends or a family to get away and enjoy nature.

Summary: This is our 4th year at the White Mountain lake house, each year adds to the enjoyment of our time on Pea Porridge pond. The peace and serenity of this home is unmatched to any we have stayed. From kayaking to enjoying the Loons and other wildlife is amazing. This home is good for families as well as couples looking for a romantic getaway and just relaxing..

Summary: This place was above and beyond my expectations, but decidedly fulfilled my hopes. The house is roomy and provided just about anything one might want. The property itself is exquisite. It is sooo quiet and peaceful, and really beautiful. A rare and wonderful treat to not hear the din of traffic, loud music, & hustle-bustle of daily life. There was no shortage of floats, boats, and chairs with which to enjoy the lake, as well a terrific floating dock a very short swim away. The location made it easy to take any number of day trips, and the owner is very generous with suggestions and info if you are looking for ideas of adventures. This is NOT a touristy spot. I would highly recommend this to anyone who is looking for, and appreciates, the incredible quiet beauty of a NH lake.

Summary: Can't say enough about this rental property! It is obvious the owners spend time here as it is stocked with everything you could possibly need and more!! The house is beautifully decorated with plenty of comfy places to sit and hang out. I personally spent most of my time on the screened in porch with its cushioned rockers and gorgeous teak dining table set. Even the flooring was screened to eliminate creepy crawlies!! I was concerned trees would obscure the pond view but that wasn't the case - gorgeous view!! Took full advantage of the canoe and kayaks - the pond was a perfect size - even my 6 yr. old grandson could paddle around! Nice sandy footing around the deck and my 2 yr. old granddaughter could easily walk around - supervised of course!! Property is close to North Conway - an easy trip to get groceries!! Did a little sight seeing but actually spend most of our time at the house just relaxing and enjoying family time!! Don't think you could ask for anything better! Would definitely love to return sometime!!

Summary: The location, peacefulness, lay out of the home, amenities and responsiveness of the host were exceptional. The basement level is basically an entire second living area. It has a second living Room, a full bath, 2 bedrooms, game and ping pong area, plus access to the backyard patio and Lake. Upstairs has a very large living Room and dining Room with seating for 10 or more people. The kitchen has for counters face than I have ever seen and is stocked with most anything you would need. There are 2 bedrooms on this level and 1 1/2 baths . The screened porch is really great. Lots of seating plus a table out there if you want to play cards. There is also a deck beside the screened porch with a nice picnic table and a gas grill. There is a fire pit with plenty of firewood. We really loved staying here and look forward to returning

Summary: Great location. The lake was great and provided a wonderful view in the evening. The canoe and kayaks were a great bonus. Close to North Conway, hiking trails and Kangamangus Highway. Neighbors were friendly.
