Escape to the quaint coastal town of Mathews in this charming 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath vacation rental cottage. Just renovated, super fresh with upscale furnishings, we have created a “home away from home” for complete tranquility. Enjoy waterfront views from every room. Spend your mornings sipping coffee on the covered porch watching herons glide around the creek. Throw the crab pots in to catch your evening bounty of blue crabs. Bring your boat and tie it up at our pier or enjoy our canoe and kayaks exploring Morris & Stutts Creek, minutes from the Chesapeake Bay. Fire up the grill and enjoy meals on the outdoor dining table. The evening sunsets are not to be missed on the front porch. On chilly evenings, relax in the Adirondack chairs in front of a toasty fire. We have puzzles and board games for a friendly round of family fun.

OUTDOOR LIVING: covered dining table for 8, picnic table, pier with easy water access, boat slip, 2 crab pots, 2 kayaks, 1 canoe, life vests, corn hole, 6 Adirondack chairs, outdoor fire, vegetable & herb garden
PARKING: Large driveway for up to 4 vehicles
GENERAL: Free WiFi, central heating & Air conditioning, complimentary toiletries, hair dryer, washer/dryer, hangers, towels/linens, trash bags, paper towels. Ring Camera on side entry, stick camera in garage for pier and boat.

Summary: We had a wonderful stay for our girls weekend! The house is the epitome of cozy bay cottage. It is so warm and inviting and has everything you need! The setting is incredibly peaceful and we enjoyed the water views even in the winter weather. The hosts are lovely and very responsive! We can't wait to come back!

Summary: We thoroughly enjoyed our family getaway in this thoughtfully designed, beautifully decorated and excellently furnished cottage. Waking into the house feels like you have stepped into an issue of Southern Living. The back porch - overlooking the water- was the perfect place for early morning coffee and late afternoon Cornhole spectating. Our adult kids spent hours playing board games on the outside table, and we enjoyed family dinners around the large indoor one. Anything we might have needed was in the kitchen. Our stay in Mathews we'll be remembered as one of the highlights of our summer!

Summary: Stayed the weekend for a wedding last minute. What a wonderful place! I wish we could have stayed longer. They had so many activities and things to do around the place and even included snacks and smores! Their welcome booklet was great with info and suggestions to places around the area. The owners were very responsive and helpful! Would definitely recommend to anyone who is lucky enough to be able to book this!

Summary: The house was perfectly clean with every attention to detail. Anything you might need was there for you from a few drinks to get you started, fully stocked kitchen, basic cooking needs to a whole s'mores set up! A lovely home to entertain in with all that you need to host your guests. Check in was easy and the hosts are there for you should you need anything. The deck and yard are beautiful and well appointed with a grill, lights, lots of seating and cornhole which was used for hours a day by our college kids. Highly recommend this home for your gathering.

Summary: You don't need to search any further. This is the only place to stay in Mathews. This home has everything you could need when visiting Mathews County.Stephanie and Ron have thought of it all including stuff you didn’t know you would need.This was the first time in a long time to have all my adult children under one roof and we had the most tranquil and memorable visit. The home is appointed in a way that feels like a home away from home. Quality linens, super clean, and exceptional attention to detail. The property is spacious and offers something to occupy guests of all ages. We happened to visit during a tropical storm and that didn't even spoil the visit. The owners came out and took care of the property too. Thank you for opening you lovely home up to us. We will be back very soon to make more memories.

Summary: This house was just perfect for our family for a weekend in Mathews! We were there for a family event. The location is so close to town and the cottage is simply adorable. But not adorable in a cutesy kind of way - adorable in a "can I move in here" kind of way. The hosts thought of every detail. The place is impeccably decorated and you will truly want for nothing during your stay. The bathrooms are completely updated, the wrap around porch is fabulous. What more can I say! I am thinking of more reasons to come back!

Summary: Our stay was AMAZING! Not only was the house and property amazing but the detail and thought just made this a whole experience. My daughters enjoyed tossing crab pots, making s’mores at the fire pit, and playing corn hole. The local market close by gave us an opportunity to eat pounds of crab legs outside on the patio; I could go on and on about the memories that were made there. We’re all ready to go back !
