Close to Crystal River in Yankeetown, this truly is a Floridian paradise ideal for families and fisherman This unique property incorporates hundreds of feet of waterfrontage, a private peninsula and outstanding grounds right on two deep water canals, only minutes by boat to the Gulf access. Two docks and a private boat ramp make it truly one of a kind, PLUS a swimming pool ( unheated) in fully screened room ensure kids and adults have plenty of family fun times while enjoying superb sunsets. Old time Florida at its best and rarest. Wildlife and fish abound. Manatees come to see you as well as dolphins and yes.....alligators. Take a trip down the river to the Gulf and you may be as lucky as we have been to see the flock of Roseate Spoonbills that live on Harper Island. Breathtaking.
Want to have a family reunion and cook out? Plenty of room as the grounds extend far and wide. Need more room? We also own the adjoining property so space abounds! .Want a bit of wining and dining? One of Florida's best restaurants is five minutes by boat or road, or Crystal River is 14 miles down the road.

Inside is very spacious and open plan and in honor of its original owner, an incredible local woman who did so much for Nature Conservancy, has been decorated in mid century retro style. Think cocktail carts and lava lamps and bright colors. Its been fun hunting those down.
We know that you will learn to love this unique property as much as we do and we are honored to be guardians of such a one of a kind Floridian estate and want to share it with you!

Summary: Great weekend with family and friends. Home, pool and property were lovely. Saw alligators and manatees and caught fish off the point. Need more outside chairs.

Summary: We stayed here for several days over Mother's Day in May 2024. This is a really nice home to stay at, and it is on a beautiful piece of property. There are several kayaks and the kayaking and fishing in the area is excellent. The owners are very nice people who are friendly, responsive and honest. The screened-in back patio and pool is nice, and the kids loved swimming in the pool. We have family nearby and we often visit the area and hope to be able to return again. This is old Florida and quite nice.

Summary: The home is beautiful with everything you could possibly need. I said Magical because it was. Quiet neighborhood right along the canal. We saw Manatee and a Gator. Having the pool for the grandkids to enjoy was a great time for all. The Owners went above and beyond in communicating with us and even checking in from time to time to see if we needed anything during our stay. Hope to return soon. A++++++++ Thanks for making our visit with our family have such great memories

Summary: The property is absolutely beautiful. They supplied kayaks which we took advantage of and cruised the canals to the gulf. We saw a mama dolphin and her baby, turtles, manatees. It was so relaxing!! Thank you for sharing your property with us.

Summary: Very nice location right on the river on a quiet street in a quiet area. Nice newly nenovated home with lots of room. Manatees swam by. Can catch fish from the property. Owners are very helpful and friendly. Boat launch nearby right at the Gulf. Great seafood shops nearby and Crystal River is just 15min away.

Summary: We had the most amazing time during our stay. Perfect for a family getaway. The house is beautiful and everything is exactly how it’s described in the listing. The hosts are so lovely, communicative, and easy to work with! The views are spectacular and having a private boat ramp on-site made it super easy to launch and load our boat. There are two floating docks on property that make boating easy and effortless. So much to see and explore on the water. Easy access to the gulf and tons of wildlife to enjoy. We will definitely be back and are so thankful for the experience! :)

Summary: Had a great time. Property had plenty of open space and parking with room for our large group. We had 2 boats up to 26’ that we could get in and out of the ramp on site. When the second dock is done it will have plenty of parking on the water. Kids loved the pool and fishing off the bank. Close to the gulf and rainbow river so plenty to do. House was clean and tidy. Could use a couple more ceiling fans on the porch and bedrooms and maybe a crock pot. We maxed out the fridge between 2 families but made it work. We had manatees off the dock several times as well. Annie was very attentive and a great host so that was appreciated as well.

Summary: The property was perfect for our Girls Trip. Very relaxing and comfortable environment. The metal roof made it impossible to receive telephone calls while in the house which was a blessing in disguise because I really needed to disconnect and have downtime since I work 60+ hours a week. The property manager was very attentive. We all had a blast!!
