You also have the use of a recently renovated barn, where you can have a cinema style experience, and before/during/after the film why not help yourself to a drink or two at our honesty bar... A huge selection of blue ray DVDs are available, but feel free to bring along your own.

Summary: We stayed at Weaver’s cottage for a lovely sunny Easter weekend. We were in the area for a family wedding and we couldn’t have been happier. The cottage is very welcoming and comfortable with everything you could possibly want. The cottage is very clean, well equipped with comfortable beds and beautiful bathrooms. The entertainment barn is wonderful although we didn’t have time to use it. There is a lovely seating area with table in the courtyard outside the cottage which is ideal for alfresco dining or just for relaxing. The surrounding area is really beautiful with lots to do and see, we would love to return to explore further. We had a lovely meal at the Museum inn pub which is a five minute walk from the cottage. Our hosts were very welcoming when we arrived and communication with them before visit had been very good, the directions to the cottage were great and easy to follow although the blue plaque on the clay wall is no longer there. We can’t recommend Weaver’s cottage highly enough and hope to return one day.

Summary: We were made to feel very welcome by our hosts who were very informative about the property and the location.We found it to be a very comfortable cottage with a lovely flow to it.The piece de resistance was the full use of the barn which was a virtual cinema with a full sky package..Perfectly located for the south coast and many walks nearby.The museum pub was only a 5 minute walk down the road with a nice menu. I am sure we will be visiting this property again in the future.Many thanks for sharing this property with us Kim

Summary: We only stayed for one night but the cottage was warm and cosy and we had such an lovely evening. And we were rescued kindly by Paul in the morning as we were very low in petrol so super kind.

Summary: We spent thirteen nights at the cottage which gave us a great opportunity to explore the immediate area, and also further afield. Whether you are staying for a couple of nights or longer, the cottage is only a mile from the main road but once on site you are on the edge of a very nice hamlet providing a very peaceful setting but also within an AONB, Cranborne Chase. There are plenty of attractions that are easily accessible, and for the more energetic plenty of walks too, either within a short drive or direct from the cottage; the latter affording you to sample some of the local brews afterwards! There are some fantastic views along Cranborne Chase enabling you to see several counties on a clear day. The cottage is well maintained and fitted with everything as described. You can self cater, or our hosts are happy to cook for you and there are plenty of recommended pubs & restaurants to chose from. Everything is very clean and has adequate facilities that allowed us a two week stay. Although the property lies in the grounds of our hosts, there was no intrusion and you were left to your own devices, but they were on hand should you need anything. We would be happy to stay for another visit and had a great break. Many thanks to Kim & Peter.

Summary: The property was lovely, well stocked with everything we needed and very clean. The owners were helpful, giving us information when we needed a taxi for a nearby wedding venue. Couldn't ask for more (except for better weather when we were there!).

Summary: This is a charming cottage in a pretty courtyard in a quiet village. The ground floor is open plan kitchen/diner/lounge with stairs to two beds and bath on upper floor with a big landing we found most useful. A welcome basket set the mood, and there was everything there we needed, and more. Our hots, Kim and Peter who live opposite, were most kind and helpful. The aircraft hanger of a barn next to us was also ours for our stay. It contained a home cinema of impressive size and sound, with full Sky programming and a small library of DVDs to try - we picked the loud ones to try it out! As I said, impressive. We didn't get to the fully stocked honesty bar, DJ equipment or barista coffee machine, but maybe next time. Where we were was very quiet, within walking distance of a village or two, but the roads around are very good for driving. For eating our tips are Langton Arms (pretty village!) and the Crown Hotel in Blandford Forum. There are markets and local farm shops. We were four adults, staying four nights. We would definitely go back.

Summary: Like home away from home, sweet stay! Best choice if you plan to explore Dorset, coast to coast, easy access to every attraction, about 40-60 mins driving distance. Nearby restaurant called Museum Inn is superb and fine dining place highly recommended. Will come back again if we ever come back to Dorset! Thank you Kim!
