Our spacious house in the village of Montaigut le Blanc in the Auvergne region of France offers visual treats and life-style pleasures. It is a base for unmatched hill- walking and wheeled exploration of a fabled region and there is comfortable space for 8 persons with an intimate and welcoming core perfect for 2. The house is best suited for a maximum of 3 couples, because of the bed configuration and in the interest of privacy. The base price listed is for 5 guests. From the windows, balconies and gardens there are beautiful views of the village and countryside. Modern touches include international satellite TV, high speed internet connection, Smart TV , BluRay player, and free local calls.
The 200-square-metre (2200 square-foot) house is built of stone, finished to modern standards. The ownerโs renovation, completed in the early 2000s, transformed the structure with flair and respect for the buildingโs original character. The previous major renovation was in Napoleonic times, and you can find traces of an earlier construction from the 16th century. The building is on a list of architectural treasures of the commune โ the regional office of the Architect of France contributed significantly to the redesign.
The garden are was restored in the spring of 2024, after Covid related absences allowed it to decline. It reflects photographs accurately at this time.
