THE MORNING MIST VILLA has a fully-furnished kitchen with dining area, sun room, three bedrooms (1 Queen, 1 Queen, 2 Twins), two full baths, and a living area. There is also a porch and patio. This home is perfect for a family of 6 or combination of couples.
Local attractions include the Portal 31 Underground Exhibition Mine Tour, the Benham Coal Mining Museum, the highest point in Kentucky atop Big Black Mountain, hiking, fishing and picnicking at Kingdom Come State Park, a number of children's playgrounds and breathtaking views, including spectacular fall foliage and an abundance of wildlife including whitetail deer, elk, black bear, and wild turkey.
This finely renovated home was originally part of the historic coal mining town of Lynch, Kentucky, named for U.S. Steel President Thomas A. Lynch renowned as the "Father if Mine Safety". The area is rich in history and outdoor beauty.
This home is well-appointed with recently upgraded furnishings, granite counter tops, a flat screen, smart TV, and has a porch and patio with a grape arbor, and landscaped yard.

Summary: Worth the drive from our event! The home was spotlessly clean, comfortable, spacious, and welcoming. The neighborhood was very quiet. I would like to have stayed longer!

Summary: Our group’s reason for coming to Lynch was to ride US 160 to Appalachia VA and explore other attractions nearby. Discovered area by an article in American Motorcyclist Association members magazine.

Summary: Comfy beds; love the open spaces, especially the windows. Parking is convenient, and the neighbors friendly. Having the laundry facilities in the bathroom is a plus, although the grandkids didn't get in any mud so we did not use them. Safe place in the beautiful mountains, with many opportunities for hiking, sightseeing and cultural activities. We recommend Appalshop in Whitesburg, Portal 31, Benham Coal Mining Museum, and especially: The overlooks along the Little Shepherd Trail accessible from KC State Park. Enjoy!

Summary: The house was beautifully updated in Fixer Upper style. My kids loved the space and enjoyed playing Monopoly. Cute coffee shop a couple of blocks away. Came to do some hikes and just get away. We have a disabled child and there didn't end up being as many accessible trails as we had thought in the area. The owners are really trying to overhaul and improve the neighborhood and community with this and other nearby rental properties.

Summary: Our group of six (including three who are 85+) thought this place was perfect for our reunion visit. It is spotlessly clean and has every amenity you could want. The mountains in the area are spectacular! We would gladly return.

Summary: Great amenities; lots of room and very clean. Our only suggestion is the master bath NEEDS a grab bar and/or non-slip coating on bottom of tub, or bathmat. We so enjoyed learning about coal mining, past and present, with tours of museum and Portal 31. Enjoyed lunch at your little coffee shop. But, WOW, is that coffee strong!!
