2 Bedroom Apartment in Whangamata

The apartment is perfect for those looking for a retreat away from the hustle and bustle but only 10 minutes drive from the best beach in NZ, cafes, bars, 2 golf courses, shops etc.
The apartment has recently been repainted, new kitchen and high quality carpets.
There is a beautiful bush walk from the property which takes around 45 minutes to the Wentworth waterfall, goldmines in the back yard, landscaped grounds, beautiful native bush with associated bird life.

The space
The main bed is a super king Sleepyhead Commercial with two electric blankets and a comfortable mattress topper - so so comfortable.
Second bed is a brand new Sleepyhead Queen size.
Guest access
You are welcome to explore all our grounds so don't be shy and take an apple, nectarine plum, fig, orange, mandarin, lemon, or lime from the orchard in season.
We also have another apartment upstairs which is a mirror image that can be made available if you require the entire building at additional costs and then you could house as many as 8 people.
If you are booking over the Xmas period it is possible that we may have family in the upstairs apartment but under strict instruction to not disturb the occupants of the lower apartment. Ordinarily we do not let out to upstairs apartment when there are guests below. However if someone wants to take both apartments to suit a group of up to 8 people we will let the whole building.
We take guests health and safety seriously and have a full first aid kit in the apartment and a defibrillator onsite in case of a heart attack.

Summary: This place is amazing. So peaceful and beautiful. The house catered for our every need , a lovely patio and gardens , a pool ,lots of kitchen utensils and washing appliances, a fabulous shower and lovely clean, spacious living area. Our host ( and his gorgeous dog ) was informative and so helpful. I can highly recommend this retreat . We didn’t want to leave !

Summary: We had a lovely trip away as a family of 3. The property was nicely set up and cleaned well. Beautiful grounds with lovely gardens to walk and friendly and helpful hosts. You do need to drive through a small section of road that goes through a shallow stream to get to the property- the water level rises with rain so its good to know what the wading depth of your car is.

Summary: We cannot express enough how delighted we were with our stay at the Miner’s Cottage! Gordon made us feel welcome and at home as soon as we arrived. Due to the extensive rains in the area we needed to be “ferried” across a river ford several times. No matter when we called, Gordon happily took us to our car. The grounds are absolutely beautiful and it’s a short walk to the Wentworth Valley track where you can hike to the falls. The space is clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed to relax and enjoy our few days there. Gordon is excellent at communicating and anticipating needs. We would definitely recommend and hope to stay here again!

Summary: A beautiful property, with magnificent grounds. A peaceful place to return to after a baking day at the beach. Lovely falls walk a minute up the road. Gordon and Denise made us very welcome and were very accomodating for our needs. The house is very well equipped and comfortable. Highly recommend this haven in the valley 😎
